Dear February,

What mysteries do you hold for me
within your temporal weeks?

Do you hold the love and joy that my heart does seek?

Dear February,

This year I'd like to ask for love
But not the fleeting kind

Instead I'd like a lasting one
That'll last all throughout time

Dear February,

All I ask is will you send it
And please send it very soon?

Is that too much to ask for?
I'm not asking for the moon

Dear February,

I know you might be busy,
Handing out love requests

To everyone around me
And you probably deserve a rest

So if this month is booked for you
Any month this year will do

I'll gladly wait for love, brand-new
And hope the same for you too.
