Tragedy

What is a tragedy?

But love torn apart?

Thrown to the wolves,

Thrown to the dark,

What is a tragedy?

But love that is faded?

Once timeless, once beauty

Now rotting, and wilted

What is a tragedy?

But love that is separated?

Across time, and lands

And people and seas

What is a tragedy?

But love that kills?

Takes what is breathing,

And sorrowfully steals,

What is a tragedy?

But love not returned,

Hours spent wasted,

And love that is spurned.
