~For R.W. & A.G.~

I'd fought in battles bloody
And escaped with just a scratch

I was honed to be a weapon
Very few could match

I've laughed in the face of hardships
Because I could outrun them

I've never met an obstacle so impossible
Until I came upon him

Meeting him was different
He was a puzzle I couldn't solve

I'd finally met my equal
Tho weathered with resolve

He reminded me of metallic
Strong and distant and cold

Someone who'd seen worse than I
Someone from stories of old

We didn't get along at first
Clashing like fire and water

Him, the water, a restless ocean
Me, the fire, full of fiery emotion

Like two fairies we danced,

Through the sun and through the mire,

It wasn't clear at first
But I slowly began to see,

That there were waters calm beneath,
His ferocious, ancient sea,

And before I knew what I was doing,
I was falling,

Slowly, but falling,

Harder, and harder still,

I didn't know if there was an end until,
He grabbed me and held me close,

His breath warm against my neck,
As he whispered those sweet words to me,

Words I'll never forget,
Pure and sweet sublime,

I am yours, and you are mine.
