Chapter 12-

Shopping Trip

"Sasuke what about this?" The long raven hair woman asked presenting a baby doll to her son who only shock his head furiously.

"No I want to give her something she'll treasure forever." He responded glumly walking away from the girl section of the mall.

Sasuke and his mom, Mikoto, had made several unsuccessful trips to the mall look into all the stores. The young Uchiha had picked up advice on a gift for a girl from his dad, his brother, his aunts, cousins, and several friends at school. He had even asked the pinkette's best friend who didn't have many treasuring ideas. No idea that was pitched suited Sasuke's taste.

"Well dear what do you have in mind? Maybe if I understood what you want I can help you better that way." She told her son who began to sort through his thoughts.

"Even if I only met Sakura in the summer she makes me happy and I make her happy so I want to make sure she knows I'll always be there and make her happy. I don't want to give her a stuffed puppy even if she'll like it." Sasuke explained getting frustrated with every word that flew out his mouth. "I want.."

The boy looked away from his mom who stared down at him. Mikoto noticed her son not continuing his explanation so she turned into the direction of his gaze and smiled.

"Oh I see now, is that what you want to give Sakura dear?" She asked sweetly.

She continued to look down at the boy who nodded his head before running over to the counter to gaze at it some more. She followed after him, walking up behind the boy who had his face smashed up against the clear display case.

"That's what I want to give her." He said pointing into the display case.

Inside was a silver chain necklace with a brown branch cover in five soft pink colored cherry blossoms with one green dragonfly that rested between the flowers.

"Oh that is really pretty." Mikoto commented gazing down on it. "I'm sure she'll love it."

But Sasuke didn't listen as his gaze stayed glued to the piece of jewelry with his thoughts only pertaining to Sakura and her reaction to the gift.
