Chapter 18-

Preperation

'Okay Sasuke, you got this.' The raven boy thought holding a single flowers in his sweating palms as he proceed to walk down the gravel path he walked on many times before. His small fist knocked twice on the hard door before he heard muttering behind the door. He swallowed his silva and straighten his button up shirt before looking straight at the door. The door was swung open suddenly revealing a stern man with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Sasuke." He said solemnly with narrow eyes.

"Good afternoon Mr.Haruno, is Sakura ready to go?" The boy asked feeling more nervous then he already was under the man's gaze.

The older man stared hard at the boy without blinking a eye. The raven hair boy felt tension with the man for a unknown reason. Sasuke was about to run home to fetch his brother when he saw blonde hair approaching them.

"Kizashi what are you doing? Is that Sasuke?" The woman questioned peering around the man's tall figure. When she saw the boy who was trying to inch little by little away from the door, Mebuki pushed her husband away smacking his arm repetitively. "Kizashi he's only a child! What on earth are you doing scaring this boy half to death?"

The blonde breathed heavily to calm herself watching the man walk off to their living room. She turned to the boy with a wide smile on her face. "Sakura is  almost done, come in please."

Sasuke nodded taking a step inside looking where to take a seat that wasn't near the older man. Mebuki flew back up the stairs in a flash leaving the raven hair boy to seat himself awkwardly on the couch. He looked up to meet the man's glare that frightened him to no end.

"Sasuke." Kizashi muttered startling the boy. Said boy looked up at the man. "You better take good care of my daughter, if she comes home upset in anyway you will pay mister. Understood?"

Sasuke nodded his head rapidly too intimidated to speak. The man was more frightening at this very moment then his own day on a daily basis with his permanent scowl.

"Sasu-cake!" A soft voice called out happily.

The raven hair boy turned slightly and smiled in relief of his pinkette friend approaching the room. He felt his cheeks heat up immediately when he saw her appearance.

Sakura was dressed in a green sundress, with pink cherry blossom petals decorative pattern coming from one end of the dress, that complimented her bright eyes, she had black sandals strapped to her feet and her usual red ribbon tied neatly on her head. She even had a small pink little purse hanging from her wrist.

"You look really pretty Sakura." The boy mummbled. He looked down at his hand before raising it up for the girl to view the flower. "This is for you."

Sakura happily accepted the flower and smiled. "It's so pretty, thank you!" She ran off with the flower and came back in a flash. When she reappeared she grabbed the boy's hand. "Now let's go Sasuke, we'll be late if we don't get there."

He nodded his head and followed after her.

"Well be at the festival soon cherry blossom, have fun!" Kizashi called out to the running pair who zoomed out slamming the door. The man sighed to himself before feeling a hand struck the back of his head. "Mebuki?"

"I wish you treated Sasuke better. I swear you'll make a bad impression for yourself with his parents." The blonde responded glaring down at him.

"And why would I want to make a good impression for them for?" Kizashi grumbled resting his head on his hand.

"My little Sakura might marry that sweet boy one day." Mebuki laughed to herself walking back up the stairs where she heard her husband's displeasure at the very thought.
