Chapter 43-
Whatever you want
"Hey Sasuke." Naruto slammed his hands on the ravenette's desk. The blonde had a mischievous smile planted on his face with a funny look in his eye.
"What dope?" The Uchiha continued to scribble furiously on his sheet of paper before his teacher could come in. He forgotten the night before to do his homework.
"How was your Saturday after practice, huh? Had a hot date or what? And it better be good cause Neji's livid." The blonde snickered.
"Hn." Sasuke grunted staying focused on his task.
"How come you couldn't hang out with us Sunday?" Naruto began to whine.
"Hn." The Uchiha replied once more.
The day after his date with Sakura, he couldn't get out of bed he was in a complete daze. Over and over again he replayed their whole date over and over again in his head. From when he got her from her house to when he walked her to her door where her dad glared at Sasuke before he closed the door. As well as catching a glimpse of the window blinds move. He'd be stupid if he didn't say he loved every minute of their date.
He ignored everyone's phone calls and text messages, even ignored his brother pestering him about little details when his back was turned.
"Sasukke."
The cooing of his name drawed him out of his work. He looked up to see Sakura dressed in a light pink dress with floral pattern at the hem. She had a tiny bit of make up and her hair was done up in a ponytail. Sasuke felt more dazed then before.
He simply nodded his head, too dazed to utter a word.
Sakura pursed her lips in a smile and sat in her seat beside him.
"Oo Sakura you look extra pretty today." Naruto told the pinkette after looking around the room for his girlfriend. "Just don't tell Hinata I told you."
"Thank you." She laughed in return.
Sasuke finished the last of his homework and looked up at the blonde.
"Dope, she's behind you."
Scared out his mind, for reasons none of his friends understood, Naruto slammed himself straight in his chair and stared straight ahead with his hands planted on top of his desk.
Sakura giggled at the scene playing before her.
"Oh Sasuke, you're so bad." She whispered placing a hand over his that was still resting on his desk.
He looked at her bright smile then twisted his hand to hold hers. The simple act surprised her. The simple act made her smile brighter then ever possible. Instead of pulling away like Sasuke thought she would have done, Sakura pulled her chair closer to his and said nothing.
Only a second later did Hinata come through the class room's threshold with Kiba and Shino trailing behind talking amoungst themselves. The Hyuuga looked over at the trio, smiling at her nervous looking boyfriend then waving to the couple behind him. Sasuke thought of responding to the small wave when he remembered that his and Sakura's hands were together. He grunted at Hinata who was approaching them and carefully lifted and placed his entwined hand on his out placed knee.
Slowly a slew of students began to emerge and shortly afterwards there teacher as well with the late bell ringing.
Sakura and Sasuke held one another's hand until they had to let go to work.

"Sakura."
The pinkette, from her place in line beside Sasuke, looked around the Uchiha to the call of her name. Ino had a big grin, she stood by Karin who offered a small smile in greeting to the pinkette. The pair had grown close since Sakura had befriended her. Karin even joined the botany club with Ino.
"Hey Ino, Karin." She greeted in a polite mannerism.
"Sak you want to come to the green house after school? There's some herbs me and Karin got to grow."
"And maybe you could see what the botany club is working on." Karin interjected, which peaked the pinkette's interest.
Sakura stepped around Sasuke who kept their place in the moving lunch line.
"I'll totally come by. Maybe I can give you guys a few pointers." She replied with a smile.
Ino and Karin agreed and left pushing through the busy crowd of students.
Sakura turned back to Sasuke who kept his gaze forward.
"Sasu-cakes." She whispered lowly so no one else could hear the name she gave him since they were kids. "Do you have practice after school today?"
"Yeah." He mumbled grabbing two trays when they approached the cafeteria counter.
Sasuke held both trays until he could set them on the metal rail. He peered down at Sakura who was already looking at her choices for lunch.
"Are you staying after school?"
"Were you eavesdropping on my conversation?" She asked with a tiny smirk. The pinkette giggled a bit when she noticed the Uchiha go stiff. "Would you like to walk home together?"
Sasuke moved down the metal rail and held his tray up for the lunch lady to spoon green beans onto it. Sakura nodded her head when he asked if she wanted the vegetable as well.
"Hn." He grunted in what Sakura understood to be a silent agreement.
The pair got through the line and walked out to the courtyard. Sasuke held both their trays as Sakura held their bottle of juices. The pinkette surveyed the courtyard and noted none of her friends were seated at their usual picnic table yet.
"Oo, Sasuke. Can we eat in the soccer field?" She asked in a whisper half guilty for trying to sneak away before she was spotted by her friends. But half of her was overcome with delight at th idea of spending more time alone with her Sasuke.
Sasuke looked from the pinkette then to the picnic table before walk beyond that. The pinkette skipped to match his strides. They approached the grassy field and climbed to the top of the deserted bleachers that was slowly becoming cold to the touch from the changing weather.
Before Sakura could sit, Sasuke managed to pull one of his shirts from his gym bag and place it on the bench while juggling the two trays. They sat and ate their lunch calmly.
"I'm so use to Suna weather that I forgot how cold it gets this time of year." Sakura looked over the grassy field toward the few trees wilting from the cold their leaves drying out. "The holidays are coming up soon too."
She looked over at the Uchiha who ate his meal wordlessly but knew he heard every word.
"We should spend them together. It'll be our first everything. All over again." She picked at her green beans and felt all her insides heating up at the very thought. "Halloween will be the first one, we should dress up and watch movies together. Something small, ya know."
Sakura kept to herself and munched on her roll and drank her juice bottle. She didn't care that he didn't say or even agreed, she knew or felt that he did.
She felt something drape over her waist and pulled closer to Sasuke. He had set his tray down beside him and held her firmly on the waist with his hand. His other hand grabbed her tray and juggled it on his lap then laced his fingers with hers.
"Hn. Whatever you want to do is fine with me." He grunted and bent his head closer to her ear. "You can dress me in whatever you want."
Sakura gapped at his declaration but inside she was jumping and twirling for joy.
Sasuke on the other hand kept cool on the outside but inside he was burning at his own words.
"Oh Sasu-cakes, I can't wait till then." She sighed leaning in closer to the boy.
