Chapter 33-

Jealousy

"Hey Sasuke wanna hang out this weekend?" Karin asked sweetly which Suigetsu found sickening to hear. She flung her hair over her shoulder and took off her glasses to better her chances that he'll say yes.

"Another lame attempt to ask him out eh?" The white hair boy asked snickering at the thought of her last few attempts.

"Cha, I haven't seen you try and ask a girl out. So stick a cork in it." She retorted back shifting in her seat rolling her eyes. "How about it Sasuke?"

"Can't. Already got plans." The Uchiha said boredly flipping the page in his new chapter book he started to read that the same girl asking him out had recommend to him.

"Aw come on. Don't leave me hanging with Suigetsu and Juggo all weekend." Karin said with a pout fluttering her eyes.

"Who said I'd wanna spend my weekend with you. You got girlfriends, go make plans with them before you spend it with your television." The white haired boy said with a smirk waving at her to leave once he finished speaking.

"Again, you have no girlfriend you loser." The scarlet girl said before grabbing her text book, slipping her fames onto her face, and slinging her bag over her shoulders then taking her leave out the school cafeteria door probably in search for her friends.

Juggo came moments later with his school lunch tray in hand confused. "What happen to her?" He asked witnessing her abrupt exit she made.

"Don't know." Sasuke responded not looking up from his book. Not frankly caring for whatever was being said moments ago.

"I love water and all but why does it have to rain." Suigetsu sighed reaching for the water bottle in his bag trying to keep a conversation going knowing that if he didn't try silence would surely ensue. "The only plus to this is that we have no soccer practice which I am over the moon about. I swear Coach Guy creates all these wacky workouts for shits and giggles."

"It's only strength training." Juggo said entertaining his friends remark as he dug into his school lunch hungrily. "You need it the most anyway."

"You have to admit, I got the most speed than anyone out there. I mean come on we're kicking a ball around with our feet. No need to do whole body work outs everyday, we're not football players or baseball players or whatever other sport that does all that." Suigetsu said staring out the window into the pouring rain that grew heavier and heavier.

After a moment of silence with the rain pittering and the cafeteria being more rambunctious and fuller then usual, Sasuke peeked up from his book to see his two friends in front of him to see one eating and one busing himself on his phone. Over their heads to the long lunch line he noticed pink and brown blobs. His curiosity go the best of him as he hid his face with his book so that he could continue watching. She was smiling and laughing to something Kiba Inuzuka had said. It infuriated him. The raven hair boy looked back at his open book before he can get caught watching them.

After what his estranged best friend had told him, he felt some sort of way to see Sakura in the weekend. He felt like everything that happen when they were mere kids was a lie. His chest tighten at the thought of Sakura and Naruto always talking even after she stopped sending those letters to everyone. Maybe it was the rainy Friday he was having that made everything more depressing. All he knew was that he wanted to have that same connection with the pinkette as they once had even if it was for a small while so long ago.

The bell clattered faintly in the loud room. Some students began to file out through the double doors. Some students stayed to finish eating. Then there were the students that stayed just to wait out the crowded halls.

"I'll be headed out now. Karin and I have a presentation next period." Juggo spoke up after drinking the last bit of his juice. The ginger nodded his head then stood up with his tray and bag on his back then took his leave.

"I don't know how he can stand her bossy attitude." Suigetsu muttered eyeing his cell phone. He looked up at Sasuke a minute later. "You ready to go or you want me to go on ahead?"

Without looking up from his book, The Uchiha nodded his head at the latter suggestion. "Go ahead. I'll be there in a sec."

The water loving boy nodded his head and walked toward the double doors lugging his slightly empty bag in tow.

When he left Sasuke marked his book and closed it. He sighed heavily tugging his bag to his lap and began packing his book and water bottle he had taken out. He zipped up his bag then went to scan the room. He saw Naruto with the same grin as always walking with Hinata who was blushing as something he said. Behind the couple was Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji. The blonde seem furious about something, her face was red and she huffed a few times to blow her long bangs away from her eyes. But the cloud loving boy and junk food addict were mildly interested in what she had to say. A little farther back, he saw a distinct blob of pink. The same shade that haunted him day and night.

She was walking along side Kiba, giggling with her hand placed a little over her mouth. Her pink long hair was placed in a high ponytail with a green ribbon tied into a bow placed on the top. The ribbon was the same green as her eyes that gazed up at the sharp toothed boy. She wore a black long sleeve cardagain over a crisp white blouse with dark blue skinny jeans and black knee high boots. Sasuke honestly thought she pulled the look off flawlessly even after other girls displayed the same outfit more than once. It was something about her that drew him toward her. It scared him.

When they left out the door Sasuke rose up from his seat. 'Can Saturday come any sooner?'
