Chapter 31-
Unspoken Thoughts
"Oh Sakura, your hairs so soft and beautiful. You have to tell me what you use!" Ino said loudly running her hand through the pinkette's hair. She twisted and toyed with it for a while before pouting. "Why can't my hair be like yours?"
Sakura giggled at her old friends comment, in a cute proper way where she placed her hand over her mouth letting the sound come out for a few seconds. "I just shampoo and condition it with dollar store products."
"Hm. Never on my hair." Ino said with her hands stroking her long blonde locks.
"Geez, you sound like we're having a powwow about beauty regimens." TenTen snorted rolling her eyes at them as she stared down at the sheets of paper in front of her. "Now pipe down I need to copy this stuff down."
"Why does it need to be mine your copying from?" Neji asked picking at his school lunch with mild interest.
"I can't believe you two still bicker like a married couple." Sakura said with a smile.
At the comment TenTen refused to look up as her pencil wrote diligently against the paper and Neji's pale cheeks flushed pink nursing the peaches on his plate. Ino and Kiba gapped at the two people's silence. Hinata giggled at her friend's and cousin's reaction. Shikamaru smiled lazily at the pinkette.
"First time they ever stayed silent."
"So Sakura where did you move to?" Choji asked changing the subject not really interested in witnessing another of his friends forming a budding relationship.
"I moved to Suna. It's a very hot place practically a desert. I didn't see a lot of snow like I did here in Konoha. The only thing we did get was sand storms, a bunch of them. Sand storms offered a bit of a breeze." The pinkette said her face lightened up as she spoke fondly of her second home. "The relatives my family stayed with were so cool. I met most of my cousins there. Through them I met even cooler people."
"You went to a different region? No way." Kiba exclaimed loudly into Shino's ear who sat next to him.
Sakura's eyes roamed the table. She sat beside Ino who chatted with Shikamaru who was dozing off with Choji nudging his arm every few seconds. Hinata sat at the end of the picnic table with Naruto at her side scarfing down his lunch while she talked to him. TenTen was copying Neji's homework as the boy sat beside her watching his cousin protectively. Kiba and Shino were beside them talking about next class and after school activities for the day. The pinkette frowned at her findings being fruitless.
"So um where's Sasuke? I saw him in first period." Sakura asked innocently staring at all their faces for answers.
She noticed that all her friend's eyes wandered to the blonde boy fuming to his ears at the sound of the raven boy's name.
"He's probably by the bleachers in the soccer field. He's been hanging around there during lunch." Hinata said after a while of silence since most of the group hardly knew his whereabouts. Sasuke felt more comfortable talking to Hinata more since his dispute with Naruto.
"C-can someone show me the way please?" The pinkette asked her eyes brightening up. She stood up from her seat gather her bags and dusting invisible wrinkles from her clothes.
Hinata and Ino looked between their friends then to the blonde still munching on his food.
"We'll be happy to show you." Ino said standing up and grabbing her bookbag. Hinata nodded her head and did the same.
"Don't be late for next period." Hinata spoke softly to Naruto as she planted a small kiss to his temples. The act alone calmed the boy down enough for him to look up at her nod his head and give her a toothy smile.
