Chapter 13-

Tears

Sasuke walked up to the dark colored door holding onto the flower in his hand after waving to his brother goodbye before he walked off the way they came. He knocked hard on the door waiting for someone to answer. The door was pulled open and revealed the mother of his girl friend.

"Oh hello there Sasuke." Mebuki greet him with a smile opening the door wide letting him in.

"Hi Mrs.Haruno." Sasuke said sweetly looking around the living room area.

"You're such the little gentleman." The older woman cooed shutting and locking the front door once more. "Sakura your boyfriend's here."

She called out for the pinkette to which Sasuke smiled wide waiting for her but the girl never came out.

"Oh I think she's still upset about earlier." Mebuki commented hugging herself looking into the direction of her daughter's bedroom. "I bet she'll tell you later but don't mind her mood."

The older woman walked toward the direction of her daughter's room leaving the boy waiting by the door. A minute later the pink hair girl slowly came into view with a small smile.

"Sasu-cakes, I forgot you were coming." She told him as she came close to him.

"Don't worry bout it." He said back with a big smile. He held out the sunflower he had. "This is for you."

Sakura's small smile changed into a big one when she spotted the flower. "Aw Sasuke!"

She launched herself into the boy's arms, an action that the boy was use to by now from her. He laughed at her silliness when she latched onto his arm and took the flower.

"I'll put this in water and take real good care of it." She whispered tugging the boy along to the kitchen.

"Why? It's going to die soon since I plucked it out of my mom's garden." Sasuke told her watching the girl let him go as she looked around the cabinets.

"You gave it to me so it's special to me now. I'll be upset when it dies but I'll keep it as a memory for the first flower my Sasu-cakes gave me." She told the boy with a smile. Sakura poured water into the cup and put the flower in. "There it's perfect."

The pinkette grabbed the boy's hand and lead them into her bedroom that had a soft pink and white colored walls. The girl went to her bedside table and arranged the items to make room for the makeshift cup vase. Sasuke looked around her room, while she was busy, curious about how different his room was from his. One thought came to mind that her bedroom was really bright compared to his dull one.

His eyes glanced around the room and noticed piles of folded and unfolded clothes on the ground along with other items scattered into piles.

"Oh sorry about the mess, I didn't have time to put things away." Sakura said collecting the pile of clothes.

"Here let me help you." The Uchiha offered diving in and grabbing the pile from her hands.

He followed the girl to her closet that she pulled open revealing two small boxes.

"Can you put those in the open box please." She said in a small whisper.

Sasuke did as he was told without a question. Once he finished he looked toward the pinkette who looked at the ground sadly.

"Sasuke I'm so scared." Sakura whispered choking up on her words.

"What are you talking about?"

"My family and I have to move closer to some relatives. My dad said it's for a short time but he doesn't know when we'll ever come back." She said with tears flooding her eyes.

"When do you leave?" Sasuke asked sadness washing over him instantly. He felt like bursting into tears having his only friend leave him. Yeah he's made tons of friends because of the pinkette but daily life without her in the picture was depressing and heart wrenching.

"A week or two after my birthday or during the summer. I don't know when for sure." Sakura said sniffling.

The raven hair boy looked down hiding his face with his long bangs. He struggled to hold in the tears until he couldn't any more and let them silent roll down his face.

"Sasuke?" The pinkette asked resting a hand on his trembling shoulders.

"I shouldn't be crying." He said confusing the girl. He took a deep breath to calm himself before speaking again. "I should be enjoying every moment I have with my best friend!"

He looked up at her with his teared stained cheeks and a big bright smile. Sakura smiled at the boy and nodded her head in agreement wiping her face with the back of her hand.
