Chapter 56 -
Prom Night
"My little boy is growing up." Mikoto Uchiha was teary eyed at the site of her youngest son dressed in a black suit with a ruby red colored tie laying on his pressed onyx black dress shirt. His hair was gelled in an attempt to tame his unkempt hair. He was drenched in his favorite cologne. His dress shoes were buffed and shined.
Sasuke grimaced at the tons of photos his mother took. He wondered how much more he'll have to pose for when he went to get Sakura and suffer the same fate with her mother.
"I really wished you would have let me drive you. I would love to have pictures of you and Sakura." Mikoto frowned reviewing the photos she already took. "Oh I can't wait to show your aunts. Please make sure to ask Mebuki to take those pictures and send them to me."
It's weird to know how close his mom was to his girlfriend's mom. Especially when they gossip among themselves about their own children's future life. Going as far as planning their potential grandchildren's lives.
"Yes mother." He responded shoving his right hand into his pocket feeling around for the silk ribbon. The advice his brother gave him, he was going to use it. Hopefully he understood its meaning well.
"Okay do you have everything? Wallet, money, key, phone? Oh what about the corsage?" Mikoto rushed off to the kitchen flustered as any mom would be on their child's milestones.
"Here's the keys. The registration is in the glove department. It even has a full tank." Itachi smiled kindly handing his keys over.
"Thanks." Sauske muttered slipping it all into his pocket.
The Uchiha matriarch returned with the corsage in her hand, a soft pink flower. With the corsage in hand Sasuke rushed for the door to his mother's dismay. Itachi and Mikoto stayed on the porch seeing him off.
It didn't take Sauske long to arrive at the pinkette's house. When he got there he was immediately greeted by the Haruno patriarch after knocking twice on the door. Kizashi had swung the door open and gave him a death glare when he realized who was standing at his door, one of the looks that could've possibly have shot daggers at him. The Uchiha casually peeped around him but didn't see Sakura or her mother around. So annoying, was his only thought.
"Sakura ready?" He asked breaking the silence between them. "May I step in?"
Kizashi huffed his chest. "What's your intention with my daughter tonight?"
Sauske's face twitched at the question. Was he seriously asking such a ridiculous question. Before anything smart could be said, he heard yelling come from inside.
"Dad! Is Sasuke at the door?" Sakura shouted.
"Kizashi!" Mebuki's voice boomed throughout the household. She came swiftly into view shoving her husband out the door way.
Sasuke had a shiver go down his spine. He wondered if Sakura will be anything like her mother, a menacing and loud presence.
"Sakura's almost done, I'm sorry about him." Mebuki ushered him to the living room ignoring her husband's muttering. "You look so handsome, I bet your mother was crying when you left."
He nodded and politely thanked her.
It wasn't long until Sakura walked into the room smiling shyly. Sasuke looked dumbfounded staring at her.
Sakura came into view wearing the ruby red dress that swished with every step she took. She wore a medium length gold chain around her neck and gold bracelets adorn her wrist. She wore more make up than usual, a blend of red and black eyeshadow with cat winged eyeliner. Her hair was straightened and sleeked back. The pinkette was a beautiful vision.
"Your so beautiful." He mumbled taking a step closer not taking his eyes off her.
Sakura's red covered lips curled up into a smile. "Your going to make me tear up." She laughed raising a hand to her eyes.
"Here." Sasuke muttered remembering he still held her corsage in hand. He placed it on her unoccupied wrist and admired the placement of the pink flower.
"Aw its so pretty." She cooed touching the petals.
"Alright now. Let me get some photos in so you two won't be late." Mebuki shook her camera around smiling happily at the pair.
Sasuke placed his arm around her waist and stood tall with his poor attempt at a smile while the Haruno matriarch shoot the photos. She handed her camera to Sakura who happily took it and scrolled at the photos.
"Sasuke I love this one. Look." Sakura held the camera up to him.
There he stood tall with his smile looking more decent than he expected. She stood beside him, leaning in close with her head and hand resting on his chest. They looked like a completed set. He loved the picture probably more than she'll ever know.
