"Fuck off!"

Travis tore the blanket out from underneath him and stormed out on the room, only to return and laid his head under Ethan's.

"I can't believe he almost let go and died just because he wouldn't date her."

Ethan laughed and kissed Travis's head.

"If your dad was next to you, you would have been hesitant to say yes, too."
"Good thing I have two moms."

Travis stood up and dragged Ethan into the kitchen.

"I'm making pancakes. Want some?"
"One please."
"Okay."

Travis took pre-made batter out of the fridge and put a pan on the stove.

"I didn't know you cooked."
"I don't. I just know how to make pancakes. It's easy, actually. Plus, you can't burn down the house by cooking pancakes."

Ethan leaned back against the counter.

"Want to play a game of twenty questions?"
"We're not going to make it to twenty."
"We might as well."

Travis set down the spatula and stood on Ethan's feet.

"I'll start."
"Go ahead."
Ethan crossed his arms and smiled.

"Weirdest food you've eaten?"
"Chicken-fried-deer-steak. Worst lie you've ever told?"
"You're playing that way? Okay. I told my friend it was a national holiday and made her miss a day of exams."
"You're savage, Travis."
"Eh. Ever been lonely but not alone?"
"Yep. Speaking of..."
"What happened now, did Michele come crawling back?"

Ethan stood up, with Travis still standing on his feet. Travis had to wrap his arms around Ethan's waist to stay up.

"Are you lonely?"
"No. why?"

Ethan hung his arms around Travis's shoulders.

"Your lips look lonely, Travis. Would they like to meet mine?"
