Mustering up all the courage Sirenia had in her, she tilted her chin up and looked directly at Jared. "We need to talk." She tried, her voice coming out much quieter then she'd meant for it to. 'fuck,' She thought, internally face palming at her voice crack. 'yet again I sound like a fucking pubescent teenage boy.'
Rosaline looked sideways at her sister, doing her best to keep from turning her head to see her as she continued to stare at the guys. They were right in front of her! Motionless In White! And Ghost was Jared's brother! Holy shit, how had she never known this?
"We can do that," Jared started, nodding at Sirenia knowingly. His expression was still smug, his eyes darting between the boys and the sisters carefully. "Would one of you like to stay with the boys, or-?"
"We'd both like to talk to you. R-right n-n-now." Rosaline but in, cursing herself for her stutter. Fuck, she was sure she sounded like an absolute idiot.
Jared shrugged. "Sure." He turned to look at the guys again, holding eye contact for a moment before looking back to the girls. "We'll be right back. You guys can keep looking at the horses, just don't go near the black one. He's... angry."
The three of them wandered a few yards away from the guys, watching from afar as they continued to try and get the horse's attention. The horses also continued to ignore them, of course, because food was much more interesting then people.
Sirenia rounded on Jared like a snake, her eyes burning with something close to anger but not quite. Something... worse? Definitely scarier. "What the fuck is going on? Are we on fucking Ellen or something?!"
"Um, no?" Jared responded, his tone more questioning then anything else. "I told you my brother was coming to watch and that he'd be bringing some friends. I sort of assumed you'd be happy since, you know, you love Motionless and all!"
"We are!" Rosaline but in, ducking back slightly when Sirenia's angry look turned to her. "I-I mean, we are, but t-this is sort of a huge d-deal to us."
Sirenia let out a huff, closing her eyes as she did so in what was probably an attempt to calm down. "Sorry, Ro. I'm just really on edge right now and need a second to process what the fuck is going on. How come you never told us you were related to Ghost?" She turned to look at Jared again, her eyes significantly less angry looking now.
"Well, I guess it never really came up. I sort of figured you'd connect the last names and maybe bring it up at some point, but when you never did I just let it be. I didn't think they'd have any interest in horses, then Devin called me saying they had a week off here and needed shit to do so they wanted to come by the farm. When they found out I had a show they insisted on coming- all of them. I couldn't say no, so that's how we ended up with all 6 members of Motionless In White here to watch us ride." Jared explained, taking a deep breath at the end of his explanation. "I figured you'd be happy to meet them."
"We are," Sirenia sighed, looking to Rosaline for confirmation. "We're also just freaking out a little- or a lot. These are our idols after all."
Rosaline nodded. "Yeah, and n-now they're trying to pet our horses and are here to w-watch us compete. It's crazy and a huge s-surprise."
Understanding their situation, Jared nodded. He could remember the nerves and excitement that he'd felt when he got the email he'd gotten an interview for the job at Covenant and was scheduled to meet with the sisters. He'd been so scared and nervous that he'd nearly thrown up the moment he met them. Just the sight of them sitting in their shared office had been enough to nearly make him shit his pants. They were his riding idols! He'd been terrified of looking like an idiot in front of them.
