Anxiety was something Ricky considered himself to be quite familiar with. He knew people that had it, talked to people that had it, was friends with people that had it, had dated people that had it and even he himself suffered from it to a certain extent. And when you put all of that together you expect to find someone who's fairly knowledgable about anxiety- right?

Wrong.

In the situation at hand, Ricky had absolutely no idea what in the hell to do.

And the situation at hand was... well... bad.

The guys were planning an 'intervention' with Sirenia. They believed (well, most of them did) that she had an eating disorder and were therefore going to confront her about it. It wasn't Ricky's idea nor did he truly consent to it, but the other guys were already so set on doing it that Ricky was just along for the ride now.

They'd known the girls about 2 months now and things had been going well until this point. Ricky had been trying his best to be there for Rosaline and get her to open up a little bit about the anxiety Ricky had (secretly) seen firsthand weeks ago. He knew it would be a while before she said anything, though, especially considering she still stuttered every once in a while around him.

He was getting closer with Sirenia, too. Their sarcastic personalities went well together and made them start to become very good friends. The other guys were doing well with them too- they probably all saw each other at least 3 times most weeks and sometimes more when they weren't busy.

They'd even gotten to a certain level of comfortableness that they could tease each other about some things. Like when Sirenia sprayed Ricky with the hose for trying to smoke in the barn (he was stupid and hadn't been thinking about the fact there were horses all around him) or when Rosaline smacked Vinny for staring at her butt. Or when Sirenia smacked Vinny for staring at her butt.

He'd stopped staring soon after, realizing that the girls may as well have had eyes in the back of their heads- they saw every single time he stared at them no matter what the circumstances- and Vinny got smacked every single time. Rightfully so, Ricky believed. He should've have been staring at either of them.

Balz's feelings for Sirenia were only getting worse, too. He was doing his best to get her to warm up to him but seemed to be having some... issues. Like Sirenia being so goddamn oblivious Josh was beginning to wonder if she'd finally notice if he hit her with a fucking brick engraved with the words 'JOSH BALZ IS TOTALLY INTO YOU'.

Ricky absently wondered if he'd be better off doing that, too.

Meanwhile, Chris was having no problem cozying up to the girls. He and Rosaline hit it off immediately, becoming very good friends and even exchanging numbers. It made Ricky a bit bitter- he didn't even have Rosaline's number yet. Neither did any of the other guys besides Chris, actually, but it still pissed him off. He did have Sirenia's number though, and the fact that Balz didn't gave him something to shove in the other's face.

But what was about to happen was a bad idea. A very, very bad idea. It didn't take a genius to see Sirenia was in fact very skinny, but it also didn't take a genius to notice she wasn't emaciated. She had muscle, she ate a fairly good amount in front of the guys and seemed to have no problems with food at all. The guys were unrelenting, though, and seemed absolutely sure there was something there that Ricky just didn't see.

Ricky was sure it was the other way around.

But now it was too late. He and all the other guys were about to walk into the barn (where Sirenia was) and confront her. Jared and Rosaline weren't around, as planned, as they were in town and wouldn't be back for at least another hour. Plenty of time to talk to Sirenia about her supposed eating disorder.
