A loud knock on the door woke Rosaline from her nap.

She'd dozed off yet again while answering emails, meaning her neck was now incredibly stiff from sleeping in a desk chair. She heard (and felt) it crack as she jolted awake.

"Fuuuuuck, thats what I get for sleeping in this goddamn chair again." She muttered, rubbing her neck gently. "I keep telling Siri we need new ones. We have all this fucking money yet we've held onto these dinky office chairs."

"Are you talking to yourself again?" Ricky asked, his voice causing Rosaline to jump again. "Shit, sorry Rose. When you dozed off I went into the other room to watch TV."

Ricky had come over about 2 hours ago to just hang out and ended up sitting with Rosaline while she answered emails. She had dozed off doing so, of course, leaving poor Ricky to go wait awkwardly until she woke up.

They had been all doing well. The sisters and all the guys have. They'd both been weary right after the whole ordeal with the intervention but had eventually started warming back up to them. It'd been about 3 weeks since that day and things were going better than ever. Everything seemed to be going well for them all.

Rosaline blushed. "You should've woken me up! I feel so bad for falling asleep on you like that."

Ricky shrugged. "I don't mind. You were tired so I let you sleep. One of us should probably get the door though as I'm pretty sure your sister is asleep upstairs too."

"That wouldn't surprise me." Rosaline shook her head, smirking at the thought of her sister napping peacefully upstairs. She'd have to think of a fun way to wake her up later. But for now she needed to answer the door.

She trudged over, wondering absently who'd be banging on their door at... 2 pm? They didn't have any lessons scheduled or any appointments, so who was on the other side of that door waiting for her?

Rosaline opened the door hesitantly, scrunching her eyebrows when she saw an familiar looking man staring back at her. He was tall, about 6'3", black and had his hair in short dreadlocks tucked under a knit hat. He was wearing navy blue cargo pants, an old beat up black tshirt and work boots similar to what police officers wore. He smiled at the sight of Rosaline, his teeth stained slightly yellowed with a few gold fake teeth throughout.

"Derrick!" Rosaline greeted, opening her arms to the man. He echoed her greetings, pulling the shorter woman into a hug. "What are you doing here?"

Derrick smiled. "What, a guy isn't allowed to come by and see his favorite ladies now and again?"

"Of course you are, but I figured your new job would still be keeping you busy," Rosaline answered, gesturing the man inside. "You do still have your job, right?"

"'O 'course I do!" He reassured, nodding quickly. He glanced past Rosaline, his eyes narrowing curiously. "Hey, who's that?"

Rosaline turned to see Ricky staring back at her, his eyebrows scrunched curiously. It was then that she realized he had no idea who Derrick was or why he was around.

Unbeknownst to Rosaline, the only thing Ricky cared about right then was why that guy had hugged Rosaline and why he was standing so close to her.

Breaking the strange silence, Rosaline introduced the two. "Ricky, this is Derrick. He's one of our old workers. Derrick, this is Ricky. He's Siri and I's friend."
