Notes: wow I didn't write at all yesterday, I actually had a life for once. Like that's ever happened before... heh... (oh hey April)

Sirenia was still asleep. Meaning it was a normal morning on the farm.

Opting to give her sister (who had gone on a solo date with Josh last night) the morning off, Rosaline had gotten up a bit earlier than usual and taken care of all the morning work herself while Sirenia slept. It was Jared's morning  off, too, meaning he was probably also still asleep.

It wasn't like Rosaline really minded when it came down to it- a morning by herself with the horses was sometimes a welcomed thing. It wasn't every morning that she got to spend the morning singing Motionless In White by herself.

She usually sang along in the mornings with Sirenia, of course, making it extremely strange to not have her sister there signing with her. Both of them were pretty good singers actually, contrary to what they believed about themselves. Nobody else really heard them singing though aside from Jared on rare occasions, meaning they didn't have anyone else's opinion to go off of aside from each other's. They told each other they were good singers, of course, but both were still unsure of their own ability. Figures- they're closer with each other than anyone else on earth yet still don't trust the other's opinion on their singing ability.

And all that was what lead up to Rosaline singing Contemptress while cleaning stalls.

"In darkness you're all around me, I know our future, I feel your body," She sang quietly, throwing another pitchfork full of manure into the wheelbarrow. How nice. "What if I told you that I planned this? What if I want to lose control? What if I take the blame, become the drug and dissolve as you swallow?"

In the meantime Rosaline found herself yet again pondering her relationship with Ricky. They were doing well, really. They'd been dating now for nearly 3 months and Rosaline was growing more and more comfortable around him with every passing day. She was happy with how things were going, of course, but in moments like this she grew worried about how Ricky felt in their relationship.

She knew he was happy, of course, but yet she couldn't shake the thought that he'd be a lot happier if she were to get over herself.

They still hadn't kissed yet.

Rosaline felt plenty comfortable enough now to kiss him, actually, but she was just too nervous to make a move. And, likewise, Ricky was also. He was too afraid of hurting her and Rosaline was so lacking in self-confidence she could never see herself making the first move- or any move. At least not anytime soon.

"Covered in your silhouette, elated for your bitter end. Don't hide the shame from our lips. Glowing in amber, burn in sin..." She continued, taking the full wheelbarrow out to the muck pile and dumping it.

"Against the wall, we fall from grace. The pain we love is taking shape. A burning love to touch the flame over and over again..." A voice sang from behind Rosaline, earning a small yelp and a jump as she spun around to see who it was. Low and behold- it was Ricky.

Having never heard him sing before she was both surprised and unsurprised at how soft yet raspy it was, his natural vocal range just a bit higher than his normal voice. He was standing only a few feet away from her, taking steps towards her until they were only a foot or so from each other.

He was first to speak. "You're sweaty." He remarked, scanning up and down her body. She was dressed in plain black riding pants, an older Black Veil Brides shirt and a pair of her paddock boots. Her red and black hair was tied back in a ponytail, a few stray hairs sticking out. She was in fact sweaty- not too much, but enough to be visible.
