Notes: okay I just really want Jared to get some action, alright? My small fictional character deserves to get laid. Okay bye

"You know," Sirenia started, taking a large sip of her Shirley temple. "Its really easy to forget he's gay."

Rosaline glanced over to see what her sister was staring at, unsurprised to find that Sirenia had been watching Jared. He was surrounded by a couple of the male competitors along with some of the male grooms, all of them practically falling into their friend's lap. "I have to agree. We barely ever get to see him in public situations like this! I just wanna know what his most used pickup lines are."

Sirenia giggled. "Probably something lame, knowing him. Maybe a music pun."

"Or maybe something unexpected and direct, like 'get in my bed now'."

"Hey, I lost my underwear. Can I see yours?"

Both girls burst into giggles, bringing their hands up to try and muffle the sound. While it was 'public knowledge' that Jared was gay, as in he didn't hide it and would admit it if someone asked, it was almost easy to forget about it considering how little the girls saw him interacting with other males that weren't either his bother, their students or the other members of Motionless. He hadn't had a boyfriend in his time at Covenant and, at least as far as the girls knew, hadn't brought home any one-night stands either. If he had then he was damn good at hiding it.

The girls got a kick out of watching the other men fawning over him. It was well known that most of the ones closest to him were gay, and that paired with the alcohol they'd all been consuming wasn't making it any less obvious. The girls knew Jared was hot, of course, which wasn't making it any easier for the slightly intoxicated men to keep their hands off each other either.

A few of the single, straight men had approached the girls throughout the hour or so they had been at the pub. They had talked to a few of the polite ones, doing their best to show they weren't interested but still wouldn't mind holding up a conversation. Even one of the other female competitors had come over to talk to them for a little while about the struggles of being a woman in such high levels of Eventing. But they had all eventually wandered off, milling around the pub while the girls chose to stay camped out at their seats in the corner of the bar.

The 'pub' was slightly more like a club then a pub, but either way it was enjoyable enough. The lights were relatively dark, the air pulsing with at some points loud music. There was a fairly large empty space set aside for dancing, the dark square of space populated by a few bodies and lots of spotlights.

Where the girls were sitting was almost completely quiet, far enough from the makeshift dance floor that the music could still be heard without being overwhelmingly loud.

Both girls were still watching Jared and his entourage interestedly. They liked seeing their 'baby brother' thriving and enjoying himself- which for him meant either being with the horses or surrounded by men. Always good to know.

"You know, I'm sure those guys would be great in bed." Sirenia observed, earning a wildly confused look from Rosaline. She chuckled. "Because they're equestrians, little sister. Men that are thin, in shape and plenty used to thrusting their hips every which direction."

Rosaline could feel her cheeks heating up. "You're horrible, you know that right?"

"I'm aware, yeah." Sirenia smiled, turning back to her drink for a moment. "Hey. How much do you wanna bet that we can get drunk Jared to dance?"

"I don't think I want to be a part of dancing with drunk Jared- or a sober Jared, for that matter. Do you know how clumsy that kid is? He has two left feet! I'd be lucky if he didn't trip over air and knock me over." Rosaline laughed, earning a spluttering cackle from Sirenia.
