Notes: I'm really uninspired and just want to read Carrie and go to bed- yet I'm writing this. YOU'RE WELCOME APRIL

"ROSALINE!" Sirenia yelled, jolting the younger girl from her sleep. "It's your turn to drive.'

Rosaline groaned, blinking and rubbing her eyes in an attempt to wake up. She had just fallen asleep what felt like minutes ago, but a quick glance at the truck's clock let her know it had been just over 2 hours.

They were taking things in 2 1/2 hour shifts now- that way the 10-11 hour drive would feel a bit shorter due to how split up it was. They stopped every time they switched to go to the bathroom and get a drink, which helped even more to keep from getting 'cabin fever', per say.

This was going to be Rosaline's second time driving on this trip, meaning they'd been on the road for nearly 5 hours now. The trip was already almost halfway over and neither of them had gone insane yet!

It was only about 5 am now, meaning the sun was just starting to show itself through the hazy morning fog. There were a few more drivers out on the road then there had been earlier- but still not many. They'd passed a few other horse trailers on the way, making them wonder which of them had been on the way to Rolex too and, if they were, would they be the girl's competition? It was strange to think about competing against riders of that level- but in reality the sisters were of that level, too. They only forgot sometimes.

Now would be the first time they got the horses out when they stopped, too. They'd found a public park online that just-so-happened to be one exit off their route and allowed horses. They planned to get them all out there and stop for about a half hour or so- maybe a bit longer. They were running a good bit ahead of time already.

Sirenia steered the truck expertly off the highway and down their exit ramp, Delain blasting through the speakers as they went. Despite what Jared thought both of them were in fact very capable of driving their own trailer- they just liked to make Jared do it for them when he was around.

She sang along absently, the words engrained in her memory from listening to the same songs over and over for year upon year.

Rosaline sat up straighter in her seat, adjusting herself and flexing her muscles. Her back cracked, then her hips, then her heck, then her elbows and finally her knees. She sighed in content, melting down into her seat again.

Her older sister smirked. "Feeling better, old lady?"

"Indeed I am, smartass." Rosaline rolled her eyes, earning a laugh from her sister. Rosaline had been especially stiff and sore the last few days- her whole body seeming to be acting against her. Neither sister really put much thought into why- it was probably just because of a weather change or something. Neither really cared- specifically Rosaline. She preferred ignoring her laundry list of problems- not facing them.

Sirenia smiled. "Good, because I was thinking maybe we make this stop a little longer and ride the boys for 20 minutes or so. It may help keep them subdued- especially Draco and Diablo." She suggested, earning a slow nod from Rosaline. Her sister was correct- riding them would calm them down, she just didn't feel like riding her dumb horses at 5-something in the morning.

Yet she nodded in agreement with her sister. "We may as well- we're way ahead of our expected arrival time. Check in for the horses isn't even open until 11 am anyways."

The older girl smiled to herself as she parked the trailer and hopped out, her sister close behind as they both disappeared into the living-space part of the trailer to change into something a bit more appropriate to ride in.
