Owning The Game

LOVE is in the air.

I found myself staring at my friend's in disbelief. They actually thought I had a thing for Nathaniel.

We are in the mall right now eating a pizza in food court after a loooot of shopping and suddenly everyone seemed too keen to annoy me.

"Why are you even denying it? It's not a bad thing you know? Clarr and you can both settle in the same family!" Del said waaaay too cheerfully earning a glare from me and a blush from Clarr.

"I don't see what your problem is Ness. Honestly, I think you have a thing for him." Aqueela said to my utter disbelief.

"Ugh! Common! I was hoping you to support me Aqua! You are always with me. I feel betrayed now." I said placing my hand in my chest dramatically.

They just rolled their eyes. I decided to divert the attention from me now .

"Okay, Ann you've been weirdly quiet . Whats up? No new dude you're banging lately?"

She just choked on her drink and blushed "N-no not really." She replied stuttering surprising all of us.

First, Ann is never silent. Second, she never blushes when talking about her boytoys. Third, she stuttered to add icing to the cake.

"Did you just stutter?"

"Did you just blush?"

"Did you just deny banging someone?"

We all asked at once causing her to turn a deeper shade of red. What?

"Okay, spill before we make you." Clarr said with a glint efficiently scaring her.

"Ookaay okay now stop!" She yelled blushing harder.

"I am kinda seeing someone lately. And I have serious problems with my heart. It's racing faster these days and I want to take it slow with this person which is weird...and soo not me!"

"Has the world come to an end?" Aqua asked dramatically causing me to nod in agreement.

"This is called crush darling, this is something serious. Now may we get the pleasure of knowing the poor guy's name?" Del asked still surprised.

"Brandon." I choked on my drink and everyone looked at her in disbelief.

"Our Brandon?"

"Yes".

"The Brandon from school?"

"Yea?"

"The one who we hang out with?!"

"Freaking yes! So what?"

We all calmed down at her outburst.

"Woah! Just surprised. Like you never gave it away. "

"So...does he know?"

"He kinda flirts with me and all, but I don't know if it's serious to him." The last sentence caught everyone's attention.

"What do you mean 'to him'? Does that mean your serious about him?" Clarr asked in disbelief.

Ann never sticks to a person.' Bang and move ' was always her theory.

"Kinda.." she said nervously.

"How long have you liked him?"

"Since the day we went to his party. He kinda...uh...dropped me home after I totally got wasted. He stuck the whole time taking care of me that night."

"And you're telling us now? " Del asked , a hint of hurt in her voice which I totally get.

We usually don't hide things.

"Yea" we all agreed with Del with similar expressions.

"Stop guilt tripping me you guys! I wasn't sure myself till today!" She shouted. "I wanted to tell you guys as soon as I found my emotions clearly. That's why I got you all here." She said calming us down.

"And how exactly did you get a 'clarity' of your emotions today?" Aqua asked sassing her with an eyebrow lift.

"Umm...I kinda saw him flirt with Katie and felt very weird about it..." she said nervously

"Please dont be mad at me."
Only for us to squeal and hug her.

"My my! Love is in the aiiiiiir." I sand playfully smirking.

"Says you." They all deadpanned making me red.

"I DONT like him that way!" I shouted defiantly.as if

I agree I used to have a crush on that sweet Nathaniel when younger, but I dont really think I have it now.you wish!

"I am letting this slide right now, but I will see your end at the beach." Aqua said with a glint earning sly smiles from everyone and successfully scaring the bunny rabbits out of me.

Oh god! What did I get myself into?
