Flamestrike saw Cinderfeather laying near the pond and walked over to her. "Hey!" He purred, lying down next to her. "Hey." She responded. Flamestrike saw her try to hide her swollen belly. "Um... are you trying to hide the fact you're pregnant?" Flamestrike asked, raising an eyebrow. She sighed. "Yes." "Well, why? It's our kit, you should be happy about that!" Flamestrike purred. "Well.... it's mine.... b-but it's n-not yours." Cinderfeather said, ashamed.

"Wait... what? What?" Flamestrike said, widening his eyes. "Are... who's is it?" Flamestrike asked, shocked. "Sha-shatteredheart." Cinderfeather admitted. Damn it. That's what I thought. Flamestrike sighed. "Well.... if... if I c-can't make you happy... t-then I guess we c-can't be m-mates anymore." Flamestrike started to cry. "F-Flamestrike, no!" Cinderfeather said. "Cinder... I love you, and I always will, and... I just want you to be happy. But if I can't provide that happiness... then I'm not going to leave you stuck with me." Flamestrike said through tears, and he walked out of camp.

"Flamestrike, no!!" Cinderfeather ran after him. "Don... Don't let this be goodbye. Please." "It won't be. We can still be friends, but... we can't be mates anymore." Flamestrike said. "Flame, I don't love Shattered the same way as I did you!" Cinderfeather pleaded. If this was any other situation, I would SO say something dirty about that. Oh well. "Well... then why did you do it?" Flamestrike asked. Cinderfeather sighed. "I was distressed about that whole 'journey' you went on."

"Wait... so that means... HE RAPED YOU!?!?" Flamestrike's ears shot up. "What!? No! I consented!" Cinderfeather corrected. "Well.... did you regret it right afterwards?" Flamestrike asked. "Sorry if this is uncomfortable..." "No, you should know. Yes." Cinderfeather said. "Then that's rape if you ask me. You were distressed, and just wanted to get rid of some of that stress for that moment without thinking longterm." Flamestrike said. "Flame, you have done the EXACT same thing before." Cinderfeather said. "Well, to be fair, you've never regretted it afterwards. Plus, we're mates, which means we love each other outside of... um... y-you know..." Flamestrike started blushing slightly at that last part.

Damn, and I was handling that VERY well, too. "Flame... I just... now that I think about it... after what happened... I... I can't trust myself to be loyal anymore. I'm sorry." Cinderfeather said through tears as she started to walk away. What...? SHIT, SHE TURNED IT AROUND!!! Now SHE'S breaking up with ME!! "Cinder, wait! I forgive you! You don't have to do this!" Flamestrike said. "I'm sorry, Flame... but I can't trust myself." Cinderfeather said as she walked away. "Damn... I can't... why!?" He yowled as he stood there, crying at the loss of his mate.
