Chapter Three

Alyx

I got home late, I had returned the girl to Ashton, who was wondering why my clothes were ever so slightly burnt. He never questioned it. When I got outside the house, Luna was sneaking out the bedroom window. I smirked slightly.

"Luna, what do you think you're doing?" I called up. Her grip faltered on the window ledge and fell. I sidestepped slightly and held my arms out. The teenage girl fell into my arms.

"Mum..." Her cheeks went bright red.

"If I ever catch you sneaking out again, you will be punished." I whispered. "If your father finds out about this you'll be given another lecture."

"I know..." she trailed off. I smiled and placed her on the floor.

"Get back inside and if your father asks I asked you to meet me in the woods to talk." She nodded and ran inside. I walked after her.

I went to the bathroom and locked the door behind me. I made sure there was a towel in the room before stripping off and getting into the shower. I hummed softly as I washed myself, the shower curtain pulled all the way around.

I stood under the water, relaxing my aching muscles after today's fight with the demon who hurt my friend. I stood in silence for a while, remembering the delight on Ashton's face when his lady friend was returned to him.

I heard footsteps. I had locked the door, hadn't I?

The shower curtain was ripped off in a quick and simple move, my initial reaction was to cover myself. There stood a demon, dressed in all white. His black eyes shone with mischief.

"Come with me and I won't have to use force." His lips formed a smirk.

I stole the shower curtain from him and wrapped it around my dripping body.

"Don't you have the decency to not walk in the bathroom whilst a lady is showering?" I scolded, using the motherly tone I had acquired with Luna.

"My master doesn't care for decency, he cares about you." His hand shot out and grabbed my arm. I tried ripping my arm away from his grasp, but ended up slipping and hitting my head. The last thing I saw was the shower being turned off and I blacked out.

Calum

I awoke to a bang coming from the bathroom. I shot up and quickly walked to the room. The door was unlocked and steam clouded my vision. I let my vampire senses take over and that's when I smelt it. Blood.

That's when I started to panic.

I blinked a few times and saw a trail of blood from the shower to the window. I inhaled deeply and choked out a singular word.

"Alyx..."
