Alyx
The signs of the battle were showing. There were more demon sightings around and about, more deaths of innocents... I wrapped my arms around Luna and Ruben.
"You two will keep safe okay?" I spoke softly, swallowing the lump in my throat. "If it looks like you guys will get extremely hurt, or if you guys are going to get killed... Call out. For me or your father, and we'll be there as soon as we can."
"You too, we can't loose you or dad." Luna whispered, her voice breaking.
"The same goes for you, if you feel like you're going to get extremely hurt, call out for Luna and I, we'll stick by your side." Ruben whispered. I nodded and they wrapped their arms around me tightly.
I sat with them, just embracing for what felt like forever until Mercy burst through the door.
"Why aren't I invited to the cuddle session?" She whined and joined in. We laughed and pulled her in for the hug.
"This is probably our last day of all of us being together." I spoke softly. "So why don't we go out and do something?"
"What does that something mean?" Mercy asked.
"How about we go out for a meal..." I trailed off. "Or we can throw a party, all of us can get drunk to our hearts content?"
"I like the second idea better." Jayden leant against the doorframe, Michael attached with his arms around her middle. "Let's get absolutely wasted on our last night as one big family?"
"Right, can you two go out and get food then?" Mercy asked. "I'll go tell everybody, you three set up the house for the party. So hide the breakables-"
"I know how to throw a party, or at least help throw one." I smirked towards Jayden. Jayden laughed quietly.
"She used to help me throw the parties, unless she couldn't get there till late. Then she was the star of the party." Jayden laughed. "Right, so blow our money on alcohol and food?"
"That's it, just like the good old days."
--
I set up the speakers and plugged in my phone and blasted the music, Ruben and Luna going around hiding the breakables and I set up the tables and washed plates and such to put the food on.
Jayden and Michael got home and started cooking the food whilst I found places to cool the drinks that needed cooling.
"Jayden, invite the old squad too." I laughed. "Remember the big groups we used to have when we first had parties?"
"Of course."
Within the next few hours the party was in full swing. I hadn't seen Calum though. I pushed through the crowds to the back garden, the alcohol in the cup threatening to spill. I closed my eyes and looked up at the sky. Memories flashing from when I first met Calum.
"Hey, Alyx!" I heard Calum yell and I opened my eyes and saw a swimming pool in the back garden. Him and the four boys, plus Jayden swimming about in it. "Come join us for a game of shoulder wars!"
"I don't have a costume, no one told me there was going to be a pool-"
"Just come in with your underwear on." Jayden drunkly giggled. "It'll be fun!" I sighed putting my drink down and took my shirt and shorts off before running to the pool and cannonball-ing in. I resurfaced and shook my hair out of my eyes. I was lifted up before I even got told what team I was on and I could tell it was Jayden. "Boys, as a repeat from when you first met her... She's a wall, we won't be the ones drowning."
"We've got stronger too." Michael huffed. I laughed. and we started. It came down to Jayden and myself verses Calum and Michael. Just this time, I was on top and so was Calum. I gave Calum my award winning smile when we started pushing at eachother.
"I will win this." He smirked.
"Are you sure about that?" I bit my lip and he froze for literally a second. I took this opportunity to push and he fell back, but with the force of my push I fell on top of him.
Both of us were submerged into the water and Calum cupped my cheeks gently and brushed his lips against mine.
I felt the heat rise to my cheeks and we resurfaced. His arms snaked around my waist.
"I think I won really." Calum whispered quietly. "Because I have you."
The rest of the night merged into one big loud mess.
