Chapter Six

Alyx

It had been a week since I had collapsed. It was from exhaustion, using my powers and such.

I hadn't seen Eric since that moment in the forbidden realm.

"Mum I'm going out!" Luna called. I walked slowly to the front door where she was stood patiently.

"Where are you going?" I asked quietly.

"Oh, the cinema..." she trailed off looking away from my eyes.

"If your father finds out you do realise Luke will be beaten up, right?" I asked her. She nodded.

"Please mum..." Luna trailed off and looked into my eyes.

"I want you home no later than ten pm." I held a stern tone with the female. She nodded smiling and wrapping her arms around my neck.

"Thank you! You're the best!" With that she quickly ran.

With that I headed towards the living room and sat down on the sofa. I closed my eyes leaning back. The only sounds being the wildlife outside and the soft sound of my breathing.

I relaxed for what felt like forever until the front door sounded. I sat up and let some of my werewolf senses take over. I sniffed the air, automatically determining that person to be Michael at the door.

I stood up and made my way to the door. I unlocked the door and Michael and Jayden stood there.

"We came to see how you were doing. Calum was worried about you." Jayden laughed jokingly. I opened the door wider and invited them in with the gesture of my arms.

"How's Ash doing?" I asked leading them to the living room. They both sat down and pulled me down beside them.

"He feels terrible for what happened, but whatever Luna did to him seems to have gotten rid of Eric." Michael sighed. I nodded slightly.

"Would you guys like a drink of anything?" I asked. They both shook their heads.

"Luke took Luna on a date!" Jayden blurted and covered her mouth instantly.

"I know, don't worry." I laughed quietly. That's when I heard something abnormal in the back garden. I switched to werewolf senses again and sniffed the air.

"What's wrong?" Michael asked and rested his hand on my back. I shook my head slightly.

"I can't tell. Something isn't right though. The back garden smells... different." I spoke quietly.

"Jayden stay here with Alyx, I'll go check this out." Michael stood up.

"If you're going we're coming too." I spoke and Jayden nodded. I walked towards the back door and before Michael opened the door I changed into my wolf form.

Michael opened the door and stood on the left side of me as Jayden stood on the right. We walked down a path to an opening and there laid three wolves, all with their noses on the floor. None of them making eye contact with me.

"Miss Hybrid." One spoke with a gravely voice. "We've been searching far and wide to meet the rare Werewolf."

"Are they saying stuff?" Jayden asked running a hand through my fur. I gave the slightest nod and broke away from the couple. I walked up to the grey wolf. His green eyes shining in the light.

"What do you want?" I laced my thoughts with authority.

"We're here to protect you miss." He spoke. "We heard that the demons were targeting you."

"Show your true forms." I stepped back. One by one they began to change. One had dark red hair and green eyes, he was approximately 6 foot. The other had black hair and brown eyes, slightly smaller than the other male and the last male had Grey hair and green eyes.

I heard Michael and Jayden get ready to attack behind me. I let myself change back into human before shaking out my hair.

"Guys, stand down. They can't attack if I say no." I spoke to Michael and Jayden. "They seem harmless anyway."

"Miss, you're swaying!" The grey haired one panicked and ran over.

"I'm fine..." I whispered feeling more lethargic than usual. "Just a little tired."

"You shouldn't of used your power so soon, you were already drained." Jayden sighed. I shook my head.

"Nonsense. I wasn't going to let you two check this out alone." I smiled before everything seemed to fade out slowly, then all at once.
