Chapter Seventeen

Alyx

"Who are these people?" Jerry asked.

"These are my friends, we're currently staying here." I smiled and looked at the rest of the group who seemed to have tidied up themselves.

"You're the angel that contacted us." Elli spoke gesturing to Mercy.

Mercy nodded and smiled.

Calum, Ruben, Luna, Jerry, Elli, Mark and myself all sat around a table at a restaurant.

"So Calum what are you?" Jerry asked looking at him.

"I'm a vampire Sir." Calum smiled sipping his water awkwardly. Jerry nodded and looked towards Elli. She smiled and looked towards me.

"You willingly mated with someone your species is meant to hate?" She asked.

"Well, long story short. He was an asshole at the time and we ended up bonding with each other and yeah." I laughed quietly. "Although there has been the moments."

"And you two are married?" She asked her eyes wide.

"Yeah. You guys missed out on a lot..." I trailed off looking down towards my lap. Calum took my hand into his and rubbed the back of it with his thumb.

I looked up at him smiling weakly before I felt that nagging in my brain I have had the past few days.

"Calum, I need to go." I whispered out. He nodded and stood me up before guiding me towards the toilets. He let me wander in before going to explain to my parents. I stood in front of the mirror looking at myself. I saw my eyes flickering to black.

I get to meet the parents, how fun.

I gripped onto the edge of the sink breathing heavily. When my eyes turned black the lights blew and the mirrors shattered.

"C'mon let's go play Alyx." The voice slipped through. I closed my eyes still in control of my body.

"Alyx take deep breaths." Elli ran in. Locking the door behind her.

"So you're the mother." The voice taunted. I shook my head tugging at my hair.

"I'm too late..." Elli whispered quietly. I took a deep breath and could feel the mental fight taking place inside of me.

"Mum, I'm okay." I choked out and looked up at her as I fell to my knees and I felt the change take over. The demon side was winning.

My hand flew to my locket and I closed my eyes coughing madly.

It went silent after a while. All you could hear was my heavy breathing. I sat up slowly and saw the shattered glass and lights on the floor. Elli stood there in shock.

I stood up slowly and clicked my fingers. When I did, everything returned to normal.

"Let's go, she won't be coming back for a while." I smiled at her. She nodded and walked out with me following behind her, she was still shocked.

"You managed all that alone..." she whispered. I nodded as we sat down, everyone looking in concern.

"I'm fine guys, just a bit tired." I smiled and Calum's hand slipped in to mine.

"She managed to control it by herself." Elli whispered quietly to Jerry who sat there staring at me.

I finished preparing the room for my parents and another one for Mark before heading to the one Calum and I were sharing.

I got there and saw him on the bed drinking from a blood bag. I sat next to him and turned his face towards me. His eyes a blood red.

"Haven't you been drinking?" I asked quietly.

"I've been too worried about you." He spoke quietly.

"Here, I have plenty to spare." I spoke quietly. He nodded and instantly I was pinned down to the bed. I turned my head so my neck had easy access.

"Thank you." He whispered. I smiled a little before his fangs pierced the skin on my neck and I could hear him drinking. I let out a slight cry of pain since he was drinking so harshly.

He pinned both of my hands above my head and held them there with one hand before playing with my hair as he drank. My eyes slowly closing over.
