Chapter Nineteen

Elli and Jerry both observed my fighting techniques against the shape-shifter, I was killing two birds with one stone. Training him and myself.

I closed my eyes taking a deep breath before letting my demon powers take over. In a few quick movements, I had the male on the floor.

"I don't see why you have to train her to fight." Mark commented from the side. "She fearlessly went up against Eric."

"Jerry I'm so disappointed in you, I thought you learned that blood always comes last when it comes to Demons?" Eric chuckled. I looked up from the shape-shifter and instantly saw Eric leaning in the tree. He jumped down landing beside me and took my hand. His lips brushed against them.

"Get off of me." I snarled.

"Soon you'll be mine, and we'll make a new world together." He smiled and Mark, Elli, and Jerry all advanced.

"Guys I've got this, don't worry." I hissed and I felt my clothes flutter around me as they changed from the sweats I was wearing to the outfit I usually wore to fight. I held my hand out and a sword materialize.

I thrust the sword forwards and watched as he narrowly dodged it. I narrowed my eyes and darted forwards with more precision. His eyes widened.

"What's wrong Eric?" I spat as I dug my feet into the ground before sprinting at him. "Too scared?"

"You're not even releasing your inner demon." He stuttered. I smirked and caught his arm.

"What a shame? Do you want me to release my full power?" I noticed my vision going better and his body seemed to slow down. "Because I will."

With that everything seemed to change. I seemed to feel stronger, faster and lighter on my feet.

"Dark magic, freeze." I whispered to myself. Eric froze in place his eyes wide. I could hear gasps around me as he froze.

"Calum!" Mark yelled. I took long strides towards the now frozen demon. I neared him until it was nearly impossible to get any closer. I waved my hand downwards and watched as Eric fell to his knees. I smirked.

"Now you're weak and defenceless." I let my eyes meet his.

"But now your beloved Calum is here to stop me. I'm just going to get away." He spoke. I raised an eyebrow. I turned and looked towards Calum who was nearing, and fast.

"I'm sorry. Dark magic, freeze." I held my hand out towards him and he froze mid-step. Elli gasped and ran over, chanting something to try and reverse the effects. I turned around to Eric again and smirked.

I cracked my neck slightly before I took a step back before bringing the top of my foot up to the side of his face. I watched as his body fell sideways. I knelt down grabbing his collar.

"You'll pay for what you've done." I punched him as hard as I could in the gut and watched as he gasped for breath.

"Alyx, stop!" Calum called out still frozen.

"Dark magic, torture." I spat looking at Eric. His body started writhing in pain.

"Just stop her please." Calum whispered from behind me.

"Sleep now..." I felt a hand touch my forehead as I fell to the floor my eyes closing.
