Chapter Eleven

Alyx

I felt myself being carried, I inhaled deeply and smelt the familiar smell of Calum's cologne. I smiled opening my eyes slightly.

"You fell asleep on the couch..." He whispered quietly and pulled me closer. I nodded wrapping my arms around his neck loosely.

"Shouldn't we get the kids?" I asked quietly.

"You've used up all your energy transforming lately. Take this chance to sleep." He spoke softly as he placed me on the bed. I nodded slightly my eyes closing over.

I heard his footsteps leave before anything else.

"Calum..." I whispered reaching out. I opened my eyes marginally. "Calum don't leave..."

Calum turned around and smiled, walking over and tangling our fingers together. I smiled as I felt the bed dip beside me. His arms wrapped around me and pulled me close to his body.

"I won't leave you, ever." He whispered his lips brushing over my ear.

I smiled and soon fell into a deep sleep.

"Shut up! You'll wake her up!" I heard Calum whisper yell. Idiot I'm a wolf, sensitive hearing is usually one of our aspects.

I sat up and saw the sun creeping through the curtains. I smiled and clicked my fingers so I was in PJ's and a baggy sweater. I brushed my hair through with my fingers and pulled it up, messily, into a pony tail before walking out the room. My feet hitting the carpeted floor.

I stretched out so all my bones let out a satisfying click. It felt as if two firm hands pushed me on my back, so that's when I went flying down the stairs.

I couldn't sense someone behind me though, that's what was weird about it. Although I did get a cold shiver down my spine.

"Are you okay?" Calum breathed as I collided with his chest. I breathed heavily.

"I..." I looked up the stairs to see no one stood there. "I'm fine."

"You're not hurt or anything?" Calum gently set me down so I was stood up. His eyes pooled with concern.

"No, at least I don't think so..." I trailed off. Calum wrapped his arm around my waist.

"Did we wake you up?" He asked quietly. I laughed a little.

"I think sometimes you forget that I have sensitive hearing."

His face suddenly went blank.

"Oh, I do keep forgetting." He laughed quietly. "Anyway..." he raised his hands and covered my eyes.

"Cal, what are you doing?" I laughed trying to pry his hands off my eyes.

"Just shush." He chuckled quietly and guided me throughout the house until we stopped. His hands fell from my eyes. "Happy birthday Alyx."

He smiled and looked down at me. I looked around seeing everyone stood there, minus Eric because he became somewhat evil.

I felt a smile creep onto my face.

"Thank you guys." I breathed feeling tears well in my eyes.
