Alyx

I closed my eyes sat in the garden letting the rays of light warm me through. I listened to the air around me until I heard something come flying out of a tree.

I dived to the side and turned to see a gleaming blade. I crouched in a defensive position.

"Your reflexes are fast, that's good." That's when Jerry dropped down from the tree. Instantly I knew something wasn't right.

"You're not him." I inhaled sharply feeling my inner wolf anger. "You don't have the same scent."

"You're also smart." The skin ripped. A shape shifter? I had only heard about them in books. "However werewolfs cannot defeat us, you're mine, princess."

"Take me then." I held my wrists out shrugging. His eyes widened. His short blonde hair being pulled by the wind, his lips parted slightly his leaf green eyes shining.

"A-Are you serious?" He asked and slowly neared me.

"Alyx!" I heard Elli yell out. I turned to look at her winking before I felt his warm hands wrap around my wrist. He started to walk off, Elli shouting Calum.

I sensed him approaching with his hand extended towards the shape shifters heart. I stood in front of the shape shifter before Calum reached it. Calum's hand millimetres away from my chest.

"What are you doing? Let me kill him." Calum growled. I lowered my head slightly.

Now you've got yourself into a pickle.

Demon Alyx chuckled in my head. I closed my eyes and let her take over and when my head lifted again I felt like a different person.

"He'll be an interesting piece in all of this." I broke free and flitted around the garden before pinning the shape shifter to a tree.

"Wait what?" He gasped. I smirked.

"Who sent you?" I pinned his hands to the side.

"Rumour was going around that there was an easy target here." He muttered. I nodded. "If we were to bring them back alive, we got rewarded. Somewhere to stay and food to eat..."

"How interesting, seems like the prey caught the predator."

"Alyx, let her take control." Calum yelled, I could feel the anger radiate off of him.

"I'll give you somewhere to stay, three meals a day and I'll train you." I spoke quietly, the demon side of me letting my thoughts through. "How does that sound?"

"W-Wait, really?"

"Mhm, I swear. Demons don't break promises."

"What's the catch?"

"If you agree, you need to know." I went up onto my tiptoes. "There's a big fight coming up for the sake of the world. If you agree you're on our side, and there's a chance you won't make it out alive."

"Deal." He whispered and I dropped his hands before feeling lightheaded and suddenly Alyx's presence was gone and the floor became my best friend.
