Alyx

"We can't kill him." I spoke over dinner. "Eric I mean."

"Why not, after what he's done..." Mercy trailed off looking between everyone who seemed sceptical.

"Because, it isn't actually him." I spoke softly. "He's not exactly possessed as such, it's like how I have Alyx in my head. Just he isn't able to fight it off."

"But it is his intentions." Jayden spoke. "We still need to kill him."

"How about I prove it to you?" I spoke. "I can, you've just got to give me time."

"You have until tonight, you don't know when he's going to bring the demons up and set them loose." Calum spoke lowly. "Remember Alyx, the fate of the whole world is resting on our shoulders."

I finished drawing the demon trap on the floor and I took a deep breath and looked at them all.

"Whatever happens within that circle, do not break it." I told them. "If I get attacked, if something bad happens... do not break the circle."

"If you're getting attacked we're going to come save you." Calum crossed his arms. I shook my head.

"Unless you want to wage war even sooner, be my guest." I spoke. "If you want to risk getting everyone within a mile radius wiped out, sure. Go ahead." With that I stepped inside the demon trap and dropped to my knees before the chair. "Eric, I'm calling on you."

The ground rumbled slightly in response and I lifted my head and Eric stood there.

"For someone who's meant to be my enemy, you're not half talking to me a lot." Eric chuckled. His hand cupped my chin and lifted me off the floor. I met his eyes and put my hands either side of my head and felt Eric's demons enter my body and felt the mental battle between my demon and his.

"No, what have you done?" Eric cried out, the Eric we knew, the Eric that had travelled with me.

"Convince them that you're the Eric that travelled with me, kept me safe." I choked out dropping to my knees. "They want to completely wipe you out."

"Fuck, Alyx." He muttered and dropped to his knees beside me. "Let me have the demons back, you're in pain-"

"Never, I'm not letting you die because of your demons." I growled.

"Don't you dare touch her." Calum growled nearing the edge of the circle. I groaned rolling onto my back, fire raging through my veins.

"Calum it's him." I breathed heavily. "It's Eric." I gestured weakly to the male. Calum looked at Eric.

"I just want to help her, she's in pain." Eric cried out and looked at me. The fire had subsided and I couldn't control my body as I stood up.

"This body is so new, so fresh." Eric's voice slipped past my lips. "However it will be temporary, I can't stay here for long."

"Get out of her!" Eric yelled and grabbed my shoulder. "You know you need to be in my body to own any powers, so why stay in hers?"

"It is the real Eric, I can sense his aura." Mercy stood alongside Calum.

"Alyx, let him leave your body." Eric whimpered. "Let him back into mine, if that means I die so be it. Just stop putting yourself through this pain."

I had to hold on a little longer, my demon had a game plan, and this game plan was going to turn the tables.

"Alyx please!" Eric cried. I turned and forced my body to move. I wrapped my arms around him.

"You won't die, don't worry." I whispered and I felt Eric leave my body. I stepped back and Eric disappeared. I dropped to my knees and breathed heavily. "Alyx, did you get all that?"

'Of course I did, now you should rest up'

With that blackness clouded my vision.
