Chapter Nine

Alyx

I knocked her wolf form out the way getting the blade lodged in my thigh. She rolled to the side and changed to her human form.

"Mum!" She let tears roll down her cheeks. I growled as Eric neared Luna and limped towards her. I narrowed my eyes and let my body change human. I breathed heavily. My arm broken at an awkward angle and my thigh was slowly being soaked with my own blood.

"Just give up and come with me." Eric neared me and caressed my cheek. His eyes looked directly into mine. I didn't flinch and I stood as strong as I could in this condition.

"You're not getting your hands on my family." I panted. "However you're not getting your hands on me either." When he neared me close enough I grabbed his shirt and flung my head into his. I watched as his eyes rolled and he crumpled.

I let out a slight whine of pain as I held my forehead.

"Thick skull and a big ego..." I fell to my knees. The blade stuck out my thigh.

"Mum what were you doing?!" Luna asked looking at me.

"I'm older than you here." I spoke quietly. "I'm also going to heal ten times faster than you. I wasn't risking you getting fatally injured because of my own faults."

"Luke help me carry her!" Luna called out and tried picking me up slowly. Luke walked over looking dejected.

"I barely did anything, I got so scared seeing him like this." He whispered. I shook my head.

"You kept Luna safe as much as you could." I smiled at him weakly and he accidentally knocked my thigh and I hissed in pain. "Can we just go directly to the group house? You can take Luna back to our home. Don't mention where I am though unless you're specifically asked." I looked towards Luke and he nodded.

"It still amuses me watching wounds heal." Michael laughed as he watched the skin on my thigh close up. I wiped the blood off my leg quickly.

"It's a shame my arm will take so long to heal compared to that." I sighed and swung my legs over the bed. "Calum found out that I'm a demon, so I'm just staying here for a while till he calms down."

Michael nodded and Jayden walked in.

"Luke just came back from dropping Luna off. Apparently Calum has locked himself away and Ruben is trying to run the house alone at the moment."

"Ruben will be fine doing so." I sighed and pulled my messy hair out of my face. "I've got tabs on the both houses at the moment, so I get an automatic hunch that something bad is happening at either one of them."

Jayden nodded and sat on the edge of the bed next to me.

"You should sleep. Luke told us you used a lot of power." She ruffled my hair. "Don't worry if anything happens, Luke can sense anything that links with Luna and you have all of us here to protect this house."

"Thanks guys." I smiled sleepily before leaning back and resting my head on the pillows.
