Alyx
I woke up thinking about the possibilities on what would happen if I went with Eric.
I'd probably loose contact with Calum, Ruben and Luna. Everyone else for that matter as well. But then they wouldn't be in danger if I wasn't here?
I remember being told that he's after me, but will harm anyone to get to me. That's putting everyone at risk again. Although Mercy said everyone would fight beside me, but after what happened on my birthday, I doubt they like me very much now.
I sighed quietly and brought my knees to my chest. I didn't want to leave them, not again. But that would be what's best for them all, wouldn't it?
I didn't know.
I didn't know what Eric wanted with me either. Did I want to know what Eric wanted me for? I know for a fact he didn't hold any romantic feelings towards me, so would he be using me for power?
I guess that could be it. Using me for power. I'm the only hybrid out there like how I am.
I don't even remember why I'm like this. I didn't drink from a demon, and I didn't do anything with any demons since Eric left.
"You're questioning things again, aren't you?" A voice spoke from behind me. I turned slowly, a little scared to what I might find.
"M-" I cut myself off, it couldn't be. It couldn't be her. After all this time.
She was dead.
"I am real, don't you worry about that. Of course I am, if there's things like vampires, werewolves and demons, why wouldn't there be ghosts or spirits?" She laughed and sat down beside me although the bed didn't sink like it should of done.
"I missed you, I'm s-sorry I couldn't save you." I felt the tears fall. "I tried, I just didn't get there in time."
"It's fine darling, it was my time to go anyway." She spoke calmly, her pale hand caressed the side of my face. "You need to keep strong. For yourself and for your friends."
"I know..." I whispered. "I just don't know why me of all people got burdened with this hybrid as a finished result."
"You know that me and your father were your foster parents, right?" I nodded slightly.
"I don't remember anyone before you two though, so I've always called you my parents."
"Well, your mother was a witch." She spoke softly. "She was a great witch, a light witch though. Your father was a demon. He wasn't half bad for a demon. But as you know things happened and you were born. Most hybrids back then when they were born were seen as a danger to the society, and either taken away to where you trained in Italy or killed. It all depended on what hybrid you were. The higher ups saw you as a threat. By the age of twelve months you were as strong as your mother and father. So instead of handing you over to die, they made a spell."
"You met my blood parents?" I whispered quietly meeting her eyes. She nodded.
"Yes I did, you've actually met your mother before." She spoke, a sad smile on her face. "And your little brother. Remember the woman with cancer and the boy you saved?"
"No..."
"That little boy grew up fast, his name was Mark. Anyway, the spell they cast on you got rid of both your supernatural instincts, or hid them anyway. Your mother knew your father and I were werewolves. So she tampered with the spell so you became a werewolf instead. As you've grown older you've changed hybrids so many times, which triggered this change. You're a demon-wolf hybrid from your father. Your father was the demon, we were the wolf. But however Alyx, you've always been a witch."
"Wait a second..." I trailed off, everything processing in my brain.
"That's why I was so strict with you, we couldn't have you being at risk by changing into hybrids before your time was right." I heard father. I turned and saw him stood there with his arms crossed.
"What do you mean by the time being right?" I asked.
"The time that you fought to save the world. Alyx you and your friends are the only hope to stop Eric." Mother spoke quietly. "Your blood parents can help you further with all this, how to train a bit better. They'll be here in two days time. Think about everything we've said."
"You'll come back, right?" I asked. They looked towards each other.
"Of course, your friend Mercy did this angel spell thing on us so we can visit you whenever we like." Mother smiled and hugged me gently. Father joined in too. "We'll be right here though if you need us." She pointed towards a locket on my desk that wasn't there before.
"In other words you just need to have this locket on you and chant the words that come to your head and we'll be here." Father smiled and tears rolled down my face as I nodded. That's when they disappeared and I let out more tears as I thought about everything. I reached over and grabbed the locket before putting it around my neck.
Thank you, so much.
I thought thinking maybe, somewhere they could hear it.
