Alyx
I stood protectively in front of Calum, the room smelt heavily of blood.
"I warned you." I spoke calmly. "I warned you about touching my friends and family."
"I'm so scared." He laughed. "Pathetic. You're too focused on saving him you didn't realise that this whole room is trapped."
"Clearly not a good trap if I managed to get in." I spoke.
"Even if you win, he can't get out." Eric spoke.
"If?" I laughed. "You're thinking so lowly of me, when you're the one that trained me? You know my strengths, you know my capabilities."
"I also know your weaknesses." He spoke. Our eyes locked.
"How about I make you a deal." I kept ahold of his eyes.
"Last time you said that you fought me." He seethed.
"Here, how about a demon promise. Something we never break." I held his eyes.
I'm sorry Calum.
"What is it?"
"Let him go, leave my family and friends alone and I'll stay here."
"No!" Calum called out. His voice breaking. "Just let him kill me."
"That sounds tempting." Eric smiled, licking his lips. "But you have to make sure you don't leave this realm, you don't have contact with them. Again."
"Sounds fair enough, may I say my goodbye to Calum now?" I asked. He nodded and the chains fell from around Calum. Calum looked at me with bloodshot eyes, eyes that held so much pain and sadness.
"Alyx don't do this please..." he croaked. I leant down pressing our foreheads together.
"I love you." I smiled tears welling up in my eyes. "I don't want to do this to you, or anyone. I really don't-"
"What do you mean?" He let tears roll.
"You won't remember me." I whispered pushing a loose strand of hair out of his eyes. "Neither will anybody else. I'm going to cast a spell. It can only be broken by the same action that closes it."
"No!" He cried out. "Alyx! Please don't do this!" He screamed out.
"I love you Calum. I always will."
"I love you too! Please..." tears rolled down his cheeks with some speed. "Please Alyx, don't do this to us..."
"Dark Magic, Memory Wipe." I whispered quietly cupping his cheeks and kissed him softly. His lips moved against mine, his hands on my hips.
I let the tears fall then. This might be the last kiss I have with Calum. Ever.
I pulled away after a while and his eyes were glazed over.
"Eric heal him and teleport him back." I whispered. Eric nodded and waved his hands about before the wounds healed on him.
"Take one last look at him Alyx." Eric smirked. "It's the last time you're going to see him, in a long time."
With that I took a shaky breath and met those once loving eyes one more time.
"I love you." I whispered my voice breaking. With that Eric teleported him back home. I closed my eyes to stop the tears flowing.
"You're coming with me." Eric grabbed my wrists harshly before teleporting us. I opened my eyes when we got to the destination and looked at him blankly.
"You do realise, just because I agreed to come with you doesn't mean I like you. Right?" I spoke. He nodded.
"Give it time, you'll forget about Calum as quick as he forgot about you." Eric laughed before leaving me in a bedroom alone. That's when the tears rushed down my cheeks.
