Alyx

We walked through the town that Eric had decided to attack. Traces of Demon were lingering. I felt a blast of heat ahead and I quickly used my witch powers to put up a barrier as the ball of heat headed towards us. Once it had disappeared we continued forwards until a building shattered. We turned and saw a few demons destroying the buildings. I turned abruptly and the others waited alongside me.

I turned into a wolf, shedding my clothes quickly and quietly snuck up on the duo and tackled one to the floor. Luna jumped across and changed mid-air and tackled the other one. They let out a scream of fright and I growled.

"Where is your 'King'?" Mercy walked up and glared at the duo Luna and I had pinned down.

"We won't tell you." The demon under me laughed. I bared my teeth growling and forcing my body to tense which made it seem bigger. He let out a slight whimper and I snapped at his neck, millimetres away from breaking the skin.

"Don't hurt him!" The female under Luna cried out. "He's planning his next move on your city."

Luna and I got off them and changed into our human forms, wrapping ourselves in clothes that we had brought as spares.

"That's all you had to say." Mercy pulled out her swords. "Here, I'll be kind and send you back to hell." With that the two were killed.

We eliminated any other demons around before heading back to our home town.

"If the rest of them are like this, they're going to be easy to kill." Jayden laughed as we sat in the house eating to refuel ourselves.

"I want you guys to know, if anything happens... I love you." Mercy spoke stirring her drink. "You have all been amazing to me and I'm so glad to have spent this time with you all."

"Mercy..." I trailed off. She smiled weakly tears brimming in her eyes. I got up sending my chair flying backwards and wrapped my arms around her.

"We're going to try our hardest not to loose anybody, okay?" I whispered and wiped her tears that had fallen. "So don't cry."

Her eyes narrowed as she looked Eric in the eyes.

"What happened to you?" She seethed her hands gripped tight on her sword. "You were our friend and now you're leading earth straight to the plummets of hell!"

Her eyes shone with tears as she stood exhausted and bloodied in front of the male she once travelled the world with. The male she actually thought could be family to her.

"People change my dear Alyx." He dropped down off of the crumbling wall. His red eyes shone in the moonlight piercing the veil of smoke from the buildings being destroyed. His hand caressed the soft skin of the hybrid. "Even you have, you used to follow me everywhere and now you're defying me?"

"I'm not defying, I'm doing what's best for everyone here." She lifted her eyes a singular tear rolling down her cheek. "If I die whilst saving my world, so be it. I won't let it fall into your hands. Not now, not ever. Do you hear me you traitor? I'm going to obliterate you like I did to Don and I won't hesitate." With her words she got a sudden burst of energy as the wind dragged her hair to one side. Her eyes narrowed from what their natural colour to the sinister black.

"I'd like to see you try." Her opponent smirked the moon light almost forming a spotlight on them. She took a deep breath calming her racing nerves. She only had one shot to defeat him.

She had to do it. Or everything she was working for would of gone to waste.
