Alyx

I hadn't returned home in a few days. Calum never asked about me.

I pulled my knees up to my chest as I sat in bed watching the tv. I hadn't really moved since Luna had gotten kidnapped. My arm was now healed though, thankfully.

I wrapped my arms around myself and closed my eyes sighing.

"Mum." I heard knocking at my door. "Mum please come home. It's dad. He's going on a rampage."

I stood up slowly and made my way to the door. I opened the door slightly and saw Ruben there, looking like he'd just rolled out of bed and came here.

"What's wrong?" I leant against the doorframe.

"It's dad he's not himself. He nearly lost it earlier if it weren't for Luna knocking him out cold." Ruben spoke in a rush. I sighed and pulled the hair tie from my wrist and pulling my hair back. I clicked my fingers so I was no longer in PJ's and stretched out.

"Let's go." I whispered. He nodded and that's when he started running. "Let's take the back way so we're off the streets."

He nodded and we got to the back garden before I let my wolf form take over as he sped off. The leaves ruffling as he ran. I sprinted after him, just managing to keep up.

We got to the house and I heard a yell.

"Get a grip! Mum left because she knew this would happen!" I heard Luna yell. "You didn't even come to help me when I was kidnapped yet she was straight out there to come get me back. You're pathetic! Just because she's different."

"Don't you dare raise your voice at your father like that." Ruben opened the door for me and I ran in, my paws hitting the floor at a good rhythm.

His hand nearly connected with Luna's cheek. I leapt upwards and changed human just as his hand was centimetres away from her face.

He was snapped back into the harsh reality when the sound echoed throughout the room.

"Mum..." Luna breathed.

"Don't you dare raise a hand at our children again." I turned my head to him feeling my cheeks heat up. "That's not a father way to deal with things, more so since I left."

"Alyx..." Calum looked at me with wide eyes. Tears welling up in his eyes.

"Ruben please take your younger sister to the group house and stay there for a while." I whispered diverting my eyes to the floor. "I'll come collect you when I'm done here."

Ruben nodded and I heard his footsteps behind me as he grabbed Luna's arm gently and lead her out the house.

"I didn't mean to slap you..." Calum trailed off.

"So you meant to slap Luna?" I spoke lowly. He took a sharp inhale.

"I didn't mean it like that..." he whispered. "I wasn't expecting you to be a hybrid, never mind a demon hybrid."

"This is the whole reason I left." I whispered quietly. "I knew you'd react like this so I gave you time to calm down."

"Alyx... please come live here again..." he whispered and reached out for my cheek. Tears falling. "I-I'm so sorry. I'm such a terrible husband." He squeaked.

I took a deep breath, sighing loudly before bringing him into my arms and letting my own tears fall.

"Don't cry..." I whispered. His arms wrapped around me tighter.

"You're crying you hypocrite." He whispered.

We stood in silence in each other's embrace for what felt like forever. Considering he was a vampire, the hug was warm and welcoming. Just like it had been before all this happened.

His arms wrapped around me tighter as he pressed a kiss to my forehead.

"I'm so sorry Alyx." Calum whispered playing with my hair. "I love you, you know that right?"

"Mhm." I whispered quietly. "And I love you too."
