The secret life of Charlie

Chapter 4

     I couldn't sleep last night. I couldn't stop thinking about Minara and what the gem was, and what it meant. So i headed down to the library. I put on a white v-neck shirt a black leather jacket, my jeans, my black vans, and my black beanie. I brushed my teeth and did what i needed to do and went down stairs. I took my honda car keys, i only used it if necessary and was off. "where do you think your going?" The dick i call a "father" questioned. "to the library.." "no your not, your grounded" he said with a smirk "what the hell why?" I looked at him and his smirk turning into a scowl. He lifted his head from were he was staring at his cereal bowl and turned to me he was about to speak when mom interrupted. "for hitting your father." She said sipping her coffee. "what are you talking about i didn't lay a finger on that man. If anything he's the one who left me a brused eye-" "DON'T lie Charlie you KNOW you punched me." Oh how i hated to be called a liar. "Im not a fucking liar, you are you dick.." He got up from leaning against the couter and started charging towards me. I was ready to run. I ran outside and got in the car. My mom stalled him by holding him back which gave me enough time to get in the car and get out of the drive way. Im expecting a big wooping when i get back.

     I went down to the library and started searching on ANYTHING out of the ordinary vampires,werewolves, hunters, curatios, ghosts you name it I've searched it i just kept on scrolling through books and found a book about alitanians..a type of alien species. I found dozens of books about them. Some books said that they existed some said they were a legend. Some say they were extinct years ago, at this point i didn't know what to believe. But one book got my attention.

     Alitanian's were beautiful creatures. They have lived for millions of years. Alitanian's were put on planet earth to study human existence. It was said that Alitanian's had the face of an angel and the body of a god. Humans most definitely fell in love with these beautiful creature and Alitanian's fell in love with humans. There have been many hybrid children half Alitanian and half human. They have been given half of the power of the Alitanian's which most powers were telekinesis, telepathy, healing, levitating, strength, speed, excellent vision, hearing, and smell and other powers not yet discovered. Every hybrid child had something to do with nature. When a hybrid child mates with a human most likely the genetics won't pass down. But sometimes it does, every Alitanian has a soul mate and so do hybrid children which could be passed down. When a Alitanian has found their mate they pass down a green crystal gem which means to them a bond/unsion that cant seperated, or in other words "together forever" this gem has alot of meaning to them and if they got rejected by their soul mate the gem would break and kill the Alitanian. If they never find their mate they become immortal until they do. When one soul mate gets hurt the other mate feels it and the gem starts to glow meaning something is not right, more like a instinct..

     What does this mean, is this book just some sick joke? I looked down at the green gem Minara gave me. Is she my so- soul ma- mate? I thought to myself..nahh i haven't even met her before. Thats when something got my attention..someone was watching me again.  I saw two eyes looking at me through the book shelves.i couldn't tell who it was from all the books in the way. "hey! Who are you? Why do you keep stalking me?" The figure moved away. I was bound to find out who it was. This guy got me in trouble in school ama bust his teeth out! I chased after the figure wearing a black hoodie "hey!" I yelled after him i grabbed him by the wrist and pulled his hoodie down...oh my god.
