Chapter 23

     It just felt as if my whole world had fallen apart. My mom died. "what happened." I said through grinding teeth. "it was, Vilmork." She said crying. I stormed out of the house. I didn't know where i was going but i needed to get out of there.

     ~ Minara's pov~

     Charlie's mom died. I covered my mouth in shock. Charlie stormed out of the house. He started hovering over the trees until i couldn't see him. So i decided to just walk in the direction he was flying in. I started feeling sad and horrible. Well that's what happens when you have a mate. You feel their pain. But no i was gonna kill Vilmork for what he did to Charlie. I walked to the lake and Charlie was there sitting down with his arms around his knees i quietly sat down next to him.

     "this is where we first met." I told him still looking straight ahead. "i didn't even get a chance to say i love you." He sniffed. "I'm sorry Charlie" i said rubbing his back. " I'm sorry" he said low. I stayed quiet "i thought i was doing it to protect you, but i actually made it worse." He scoffed. "how did you make it worse?" He turned to face me. "when you had that Vilmork dream, i thought that if we weren't so intimate, we would be able to focus and have a better chance at killing Vilmork." I giggled "well that was a dumb idea." He looked at me and rolled his eyes. "the point of having a mate is proving to them why you are their mate. Not avoiding them." He looked at me and i could tell he was sorry. "look Minara i really want to apologize i kno-" i interrupted "oh just shut up and kiss me!" His lips instantly crashed into mine, oh how i missed his touch. The sparks ran through our bodies like if they were re-charging. I've missed him so much. But this still doesn't change the fact that I'm furious at Vilmork. I'm gonna to go find him.

     I stopped kissing Charlie and stood up. There was only one way i was gonna find him but it wasn't going to be easy. "hey where you goin'!" Charlie yelled after me. "to go find Vilmork!" I yelled back without turning around. "I'm coming too, son of a bitch killed my mom im gonna shred him to peic-" he followed behind me but i stopped him. "Charlie, don't try to attack him. Your not prepared yet, he'll kill you. He's not what you think.." Charlie looked at me confused. "before he became mad. He use to work in a science lab and he injected himself with some type experiment That lets him control you with his eyes, they call it blood bending." His eyes widened.
