Chapter Five

I then grabbed my suitcase and went to the Dialga cabin. After all this time, it felt so good to be back. I put my suitcase in the girls' room. Then after a little while, Vicky told me to go sit down for dinner. So I went to the dinner table where Lucy, Terrence, Reggie, Gigi, and Paul were sitting.

"Hiya!" Lucy said, just as perky as ever. 

"Hi, Lucy. So, what's up with you guys?" I asked everyone at the table. 

"Well, I TRIED to touch the butt," Paul spoke up, "but Reggie caught me in the act and punched me." 

"Well, don't say I didn't warn you earlier." I replied.

Then Kitty walked over to us. "Would you mind if I sit with you?" she said. 

"Not at all!" Lucy exclaimed. "Come join us!" 

Kitty sat down next to Lucy. "You know, Kitty, you're ADORABLE." Lucy said. "You look like you could be in an anime!" 

"Um....thank you?" Kitty replied.

"Anyways," Kitty said, "I would like to know your names..." 

"Sure!" Lucy replied. "I'm Lucy. Nice to meet ya!" 

"My name is Diane." I said. 

"I'm Terrence." said Terrence. 

"I'm Gigi!" Gigi exclaimed. 

"Salutations, Ms. Genesis. I am Paul Zhemchug." Paul said. 

Reggie just sat there looking at Kitty for a while until Gigi elbowed him in the chest. "Oh, yeah. I...I'm Reggie. Reggie Golem. And......uh......you're cute." He then put his hands over his face in shame, but we could all tell he was blushing. 

"Oh...um.... thanks." Kitty said. Then dinner was served and we all ate.

While we were eating, Gigi and Reggie turned around. "Reggie, do you have a crush on Kitty?" Gigi asked. 

"N...no." he replied. 

"Be honest, Reg." 

"O...okay, I do." 

"HA! I knew it! But honestly, if she's so tiny, how are you going to be able to even HUG her without crushing her?" 

"If Skitty can breed with Wailord, I can date a girl that's less than 5 feet tall. Now get off my case."

We then chatted for a while. Then, when we were finished with dinner, Vicky handed out Camp Arceus T-shirts to all of us. She then told us to go back to our cabins.

Then she whispered something to Paul. After she was finished, I asked Paul what they were talking about. 

"Oh, the Palkia cabin is ready. Do you think Vicky would mind if I let you take a look?" he said. 

"No, not at all." I replied. 

"Great! Come on, Diane!" he said, as he ran towards the Palkia cabin.

The Palkia cabin was light purple, with two pearls above the door similar to the ones on Palkia's shoulders. The roof was white, and extending out from the pearls above the door were a pair of white wings. It was so beautiful- but I still thought the Dialga cabin was prettier. I don't know, I'm probably biased.

Inside it was just as pretty, with a model of the world above the door, because space. In the main room there were things like an assortment of maps, white chairs with purple silk cushions, a "teleporter", and a table studded with pearls. And, like in the Dialga cabin, painted upon the domed ceiling there were scenes depicting the creation of Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina and how they shaped the world. Paul was clearly in awe. He had lived in a mansion his whole life, but he has never had such a magnificent place all to himself.

"Diane..." he said. "It's BEAUTIFUL...." 

"I know. It's gorgeous. But it's not as pretty as the Dialga cabin." I replied. 

Paul gave me a dirty look. "Anyways," he said. "I think you need to go back to your cabin." 

"I really should." I said as I headed towards the door. "See ya, Cuz!" 

"Farewell!" Paul said as I left and entered the Dialga cabin.

After a little while, Vicky called us all to gather around the campfire. I immediately sat with my friends, and the Meloetta kids all led the rest of the camp in singing campfire songs. Lucy and Paul had surprisingly good singing voices, but Gigi's singing voice sounded like a Purugly in heat, and Reggie's sounded like an Aggron in pain. After that, Vicky asked us if we knew any scary stories. 

Gigi's hand immediately shot up. "I have a really scary story." she said. "It's called 'The Spooky Road.'"

"A few years ago a man was walking down a road because his car broke down and he saw a car coming up behind him so he stuck out his thumb to hitch hike and the car stopped ahead of him. He ran up to the passenger side and opened the door. WHEN HE OPENED THE DOOR A SKELETON POPPED OUT!"

A few people were scared, but not many. Then, Reggie spoke up. "I have an even scarier one."

"So ur with ur honey and yur making out wen the phone rigns. U anser it n the vioce is "wut r u doing wit my daughter?" U tell ur girl n she say "my dad is ded". THEN WHO WAS PHONE?"

A few more people were scared by that one, but the entire Uxie cabin was scared due to the improper use of grammar. Then we told some more scary stories, and I learned the Darkrai cabin tells the scariest ones. After the scary stories, we were sent back to our cabins and I fell asleep. As I drifted off, one thing was on my mind...

Another year, another good time at Camp Arceus...
