Jeon Jungkook's POV
"By the way.. I want you to meet one last person." She said. "Who?" I asked. She smiled brightly at me before replying. "I want you to meet Park Areum... The real Park Areum." I looked at her confusingly. "What do you mean by the real Park Areum?" I asked. She chuckled. "Let's take a walk outside while I explain." She said and walked away with Cookie. Now we're strolling in the park with Cookie on Areum's arms. "You see, the Park Areum you usually see, the cold hearted one, the sarcastic one, the emotionless one, even the.. Bad influence one... She's all fake.. She's nothing but a show. That's what she "was only" supposed to be. It was supposed to be an act after what happened.. To let them see that I'm not fragile, weak, or hurt. But as days, weeks, months, and years have passed. That Areum became a part of me. She became my other half. I just woke up one day, she finally consumed me, I really became that Areum I created. I never wanted this to happen.. I never wanted this to happen to me." She explained while looking at me with sad eyes. "But hey, luck isn't always with you. Imagine, all of the things that was given to me to make me happy was all gone in just a blink of an eye. Amazing right?" She continued while faking a smile. "All I wanted was to be happy and have a normal life. You know? Have friends that you can be with. But it looks like I wasn't born to have it.. That I don't deserve such thing." She said while tears are threatening to escape her eyes. I never knew that she was hurting this much. I looked at her with pity. "Gosh, this is so getting dramatic.. Why am I even telling you this-" I didn't let her finish and hugged her immediately. They said that girls who are upset needs a hug so yeah.. "It's okay.. I'm here.. You're not alone. I can make you happy." I said while patting her back. She let go from the hug and faced me with a smile though there are tears streaming down her face. "Thank you Jungkook. It really means a lot to me." She said. I chuckled and wiped her tears. I looked into her eyes while she looked into mine. My eyes suddenly landed on her lips. I gulped really hard. All of a sudden my face is already moving closer to hers. She froze when she saw I was moving closer. As I was about to kiss her, Cookie suddenly barked, making the two of us move away from each other. I laughed nervously while scratching the back of my head. S-sorry... I didn't know what I was doing.." I said. She just laughed and picked up Cookie. "Looks like someone is getting a little bit jealous huh?" She said while looking at Cookie. Cookie just barked in response while wagging its tail. Areum looked back at me and smiled. "Let's go get ice cream. My treat."

Me and Areum are now seated across each other while eating ice cream. We were eating quietly when Areum broke the silence. "Why are you so nice to me Jeon Jungkook? I mean, you're an idol and I'm just...plain me." I just smiled. "Just because I'm an idol doesn't mean I can't be friends with you. You're a nice person, I know that. Besides.. What guy wouldn't want to be with you? Mark? He's a jerk for cheating on you. If I was him, I would be the luckiest man on earth for having you as a girlfriend-" I suddenly paused, realizing what I just blurted out. I looked at Areum and saw her just staring at me. And for the hundredth time, I embarrassed myself in front of Areum.. Again. All of a sudden, Areum bursted out laughing. "Oh my, Jeon Jungkook what's with you today? Do you have a crush on me or something?" She said while smirking. I gulped. Its now or never. "Ummm... Areum." I called her. "Yes?" She asked while patting Cookies head. I took a deep breath. "I like you. Can you go out on a date with me?"
