Chapter 85

Third Person's POV

The rest of the members couldn't help but to glance at Jimin and Areum every once ina while. None of them expected her to be at the party. Her sudden appearance surprised them but despite how shocked they were, guilt was overpowering them. Well except for Taehyung of course. They all knew how Jimin felt for the girl who was currently talking with some of the guests.

"Do you want to talk to her?" Jungkook asked Jimin who was playing with his salad while taking a glance at Areum every now and then. "Why would I want to talk to her?" Jimin said with a tone of bitterness which made the rest of the boys feel even more guilty. Because of them, Jimin became like this. He became cold and quiet. The person he would only talk to is Jungkook.

As if on cue, Jungkook saw that Areum was going to pass by their table. He shifted uncomfortably while fixing his necktie. He took a quick glance at Jimin before letting out a nervous chuckle. I hope Jimin hyung doesn't kill me after this. He thought.

"Good evening Ms. Park." Jungkook said as he stood up and bowed at Areum. Areum and the rest of the boys were stunned. "Good evening Jungkook...Hoseok, Yoongi, Namjoon, Taehyung, Seokjin... and Jimin." Areum greeted back before giving a polite nod. The rest of the boys stood up as well and bowed except for Jimin who is still stunned.

"Oh good, the model and endorsers for Puma have finally met. Do you mind if we take a picture?" A photographer asked and all of them agreed. And fate decided to play again because Areum was now standing between Jimin and Taehyung.

After the photos were taken, Areum finally excused herself and went outside to make a call. The boys on the other hand were beyond speechless. "Are you guys sure that woman is Areum because I swear she's a different person." Yoongi said while looking at the direction where Areum walked.

"You guys are overreacting. She just became more matured that's all." Jungkook said while rolling his eyes at his hyungs.

The night ended with the boys getting to talk with some guests about their campaign and Areum getting to know about other guests as well as their business. The eight of them would pass by each other, no words were exchanged, only polite nods and bows. And now, the guests were either going home or attending another party.

All of the boys took off their blazers by the time they stepped inside their dorm. It was already twelve midnight and the boys were tired. Jimin went upstairs to take a shower and change into some comfortable clothes aferwards.

While Jimin was scrolling down on his phone, Jungkook knocked on his door and went inside. "Hey Jungkook, do you need something?" Jimin said after he put his phone down. "Not really. I uhh just wanted to see if you're doing fine. You know.. after what happened at the party." Jungkook said while scratching the back of his head.

"I'm fine Jungkook. There's nothing to worry about." Jimin said as he went back to scrolling down on his phone. "Are you sure? I saw a hint of bitterness and sadness in your eyes when you saw her." Jungkook said which made Jimin let out a scoff.

"I'm okay Jungkook. Just let it go will you? Let's all move on from what happened six years ago." Jimin said in irritation. "But hyung, you're not okay." Jungkook retorted which made Jimin growl in response.

"I swear Jungkook, if you don't fvcking stop this nonsense-" Jimin tried to say but Jungkook stopped him. "You'll what hyung? You'll shut me out like you've shut the others out?" Jungkook asked with a hint of sarcasm while Jimin just glared at him. "Hyung, I know you're not okay. You've never been okay for the past six years. You think I don't know? You think I don't know how you would hang around the balcony at night while looking at her picture then crying afterwards? You think I don't know that you would go out at night and come back home drunk? You think I don't know that you barely slept for the first 12 months after she left?" Jungkook said as his voice cracked at the end while Jimin's eyes softened. "You think I don't know but I do, hyung." Jungkook said softly. "I know you're not okay, and I know that you were trying to get over her for the past six years... And after we saw her at the party, I know that all those efforts of trying to get over her were useless." Jungkook added.

Jimin was starting to crumble in front of Jungkook. Heart aching and tears threatening to fall. But Jimin fought the urge to let you younger one see what he truly feels. Jimin let out a huge sigh before looking at Jungkook with cold piercing eyes. "Get out." Jimin said. Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and was about to ask Jimin why but Jimin stopped him. "Get out Jungkook." Jimin said once more. Jungkook just sighed before looking at his hyung with sad eyes. He turned around and left his room without a word.

The next day, Areum was all over the news and internet. Pictures of her from last night were trending, especially her picture with the boys,considering that both are models and endorsers of Puma.

"Good morning Korea, I'm currently standing outside Park Industries who is currently ran by Park Areum. After last night's event at the Lotte Hotel, this young chairwoman and model has been gaining the attention of many. The said chairwoman and model recently posted on twitter qoute, It's good to be back, end quote. She then later confirmed that she'll be staying here for good and take over her parents' company here in Seoul, Korea. This has been Lee Mirae-" Namjoon didn't let the reporter finish as he turned the television off.

All of them were quiet in the living room when Jungkook suddenly went out from his room while rubbing his eyes. He stopped walking when he saw the rest of his hyungs in the living room staring at nowhere. "What? You guys seen a ghost or something?" Jungkook asked while yawning.

"Areum's all over the news and internet." Hoseok said before looking at Jungkook but Jungkook just hummed in response. All of a sudden, Taehyung's phone rang so he excused himself before going to the kitchen to answer Minji's call.

"I know you're still a bit upset with us Jungkook but we just want to let you know that we're really sorry for what we did." Seokjin said while the others nodded in agreement. "You should be telling that to Jimin hyung not me." Jungkook said.

It was true that Jungkook wasn't mad at his hyungs anymore but that doesn't mean that he's no longer upset with them even the slightest bit. What they did to his hyung was wrong but they're not perfect right? People make mistakes and it turns out that his hyungs made a mistake. A huge mistake to be exact.

"We want to but I doubt that Jimin would listen to us. You're the only one he talks to." Yoongi answered. "Well that's not my problem anymore. You guys should really make an effort if you want Jimin hyung to talk to you." Jungkook said as he turned around to go back to his room but Namjoon stopped him.

"We heard your conversation last night." Namjoon said which made Jungkook froze on his spot. "I know that we're asking too much but we were hoping if you could help us." Namjoon continued which made Jungkook turn around to face them. "What we did is wrong and it made Jimin become a different person we all know he doesn't even want to be but now we can't bear to let Jimin to be consumed with sadness. He doesn't deserve any of this. So please, Jungkook.. Help us bring Jimin back. We couldn't afford Jimin to drift further and further away from us." Namjoon added. Jungkook looked at each one of them to see the same emotion that their eyes held. Regret and sadness.

Jungkook sighed before nodding in response. "Alright. I'll help you." Jungkook said. "You will?" Namjoon asked to which Jungkook nodded in response. "I miss Jimin hyung as much as you guys miss him. So what's the plan?"
