Chapter 49

Park Areum's POV
A month has passed and me and the girls grew closer, especially Young Ji. I was also tutoring Jackson for the past month and I have to say, we also grew closer. And tomorrow, me and V will celebrate our first month together.

I took my bag and locked the door before leaving to go to school. "Well well well.. Look what we have here." I turned around and saw Jackson going to school too. "Whatever." I said while rolling my eyes playfully as I walk past him. "Well good morning to you too my cranky tutor." he said. "I'm not cranky." I said. "If you weren't then I shouldn't have been calling you one from the start." Jackson said while smirking. I just shook my head and continued walking.

"So, you're boyfriend's not gonna walk with you to school?" Jackson said as he walked beside me. "Nope. He said he'll be walking with his hyungs." I said. We finally arrived to school and walked towards our locker. "Well, what subject are you gonna teach me later?" Jackson asked. "Biology. And after that, I'm going to give you a small test to see how much you learned throughout the past month. " I said. "Well I sure can't wait to learn Biology. I'm sure I'm gonna pass that small test of yours. Anyways, I gotta go to class. See you later." Jackson said and left to go to his class. After I got my books I made my way to my class. As I was walking, I saw the boys laughing and talking while their walking to the same class as mine. "Oh hey Areum!" The boys greeted me. "Hi guys! Where's V?" I asked when I noticed there's only six of them. "V? Isn't he with you? He told us he'll be walking with you to school." Namjoon said as we enter the classroom. I looked at the time and saw we were too early. We sat on our chairs in the back and continued to talk. "What? But he told me that he'll be walking to school with you guys." I said. All of us were confused. What is V up to? Is it possible that he's hiding something from the boys? From me??? "I'm gonna go find him." I said and stood up. "Do you want us to go with you?" Jin asked. I just smiled and shook my head then left the room to find him.

10 minutes have passed and I still haven't found V. I looked at my watch and saw class is about to start in few minutes. I sighed and gave up and headed back to the classroom. "Any luck?" Suga asked. "None." I said and took a seat. After a few minutes Ms. Han entered the room and started her lecture.

Ms. Han was in the middle of her lecture when V entered the room. "Sorry I'm late!" V said and bowed. Ms. Han just nodded and went back to her lecture. "Yah, where have you been?" I asked as soon as V took his seat. "Just had to take care of something." He said and just gave me a small smile then turned his attention to Ms. Han. But I noticed that he wasn't really listening. Instead he was texting someone. I tried to look who he's texting but I can't see it properly.

All of us are in the cafeteria. The girls started to hangout with us. I looked at Jungkook and Young Ji who obviously likes each other. Same thing with Suga and Jeiseu. I looked at V who's right beside me, still busy texting someone. "Yah, who are you texting? I noticed you texting in class." I said. V immediately placed his phone in his pocket. "Ahh that's just my dad. He just got home from work in Malaysia." He said. "By the way, where were you? You got us all confused. You told us you'll be walking with Areum to school but you told Areum you were gonna walk with us. What are you up to Taehyung?" Jimin and Jhope said. "I'll answer that later, for now I need to go. Bye!" He said and left us. I sighed and shook my head. Something's wrong...

"Yah! Areum! Are you still there?" Jackson said as he waved his hand in front of my face. "Huh? Were you saying something?" I asked. "You're spacing out again. I said I'm finished answering the test you gave me." Jackson said while rolling his eyes. "Oh. Sorry." I said and began checking his paper. After I finished checking it, I gave it back to him. "You only got 5 mistakes. I'm proud of you." I said while smiling a bit. "All thanks to you my cranky tutor. I can't believe this is our last session." He said while smirking. I just smiled at him before placing my notebooks back to my bag. "Hey, you okay? You seem off today." Jackson said. "I'm okay. Don't mind me. I'm just tired that's all." I said while waving my hand at him to show I'm fine. Lies. You're not okay. "You sure? We can always talk about it. I'll listen." Jackson insisted. "I'm okay. I'll be going now. Anyways, don't forget everything I taught you. Your test is in two days." I said. "I won't forget everything. I promise. Do you want me to walk you home?" Jackson asked. I gave him a small smile and shook my head. "No need. I'll be going now." I said and left. On my way home, I couldn't stop thinking on how V has been acting lately. Last time he won't answer my texts but now he's busy texting. I have a feeling he's hiding something from me. I want to know what it is but at the same time, I'm scared to know the truth. I shouldn't be thinking about this. I need to trust him. Tomorrow will be our first month together and I want it to be special for the both of us.
