Chapter 77

Park Jimin's POV
We were still on the road with Areum driving like a Nascar racer. I looked at her to see her focused on the road while gripping on the steering wheel tightly.

I looked at the side mirror to see the car still chasing us.

"Areum, I think we really need to tell the others about this. We're almost out of the city." I said with worry.

"Jimin's right Areum. Let's call them. Once we're out of the city there would be less witnesses of something happens." V said. Being at this kind of situation, all of us forgot our relationship with each other. Both of their coldness towards each other died down.

"City city city..." I heard Areum mutter. "That's it! Both of you are a genius!" Areum said as she drove with more speed.

"What? What did we do?" I asked. Areum made a hard turn which made me and V grip on some part of the car.

"I have a plan. It will slightly be involved with the police so don't freak out-" Areum said but she suddenly got cut off by V.

"Don't freak out?! Don't freak out?!?! How am I not gonna freak out?! I shouldn't have agreed on-" V suddenly shouted. It was obvious that he was scared.

"Can you just shut the fvck up and let me explain?!" Areum snapped. V stopped talking and Areum sighed. "So this is the plan. Just when we leave the city, after a few meters there is a checkpoint." Areum explained.

"Which means there will be a group of police surrounding it." I said. "Correct." It all made sense now. "

"But what if they realize that we're leading them to the police? They'll probably leave right away." I asked.

"That won't happen because they'll be the one leading us." Areum said while smirking.

Park Areum's POV
We already left the city and the checkpoint is just a few meters away. "Hold on guys." I said and made a sharp U-turn. Damn I feel bad ass af. Good thing the road was somehow wide enough for me to make that U-turn successful. Ironic as it may sound, the ones who were chasing us a while ago are now the ones who are being chased.

"Holy sh*t Areum!" Jimin said with awe. "Damn Jimin, you kiss your mother with that mouth?" I joked. I heard V snorted at that which made me look at him through the rearview mirror.

I smirked when I saw the car speeding up which made me do the same. It didn't took long for us to reach the checkpoint. Apparently there were many police surrounding the checkpoint. The car that was we were now chasing didn't have a choice but to stop.

Once I saw one of the police order the people inside the car to leave the vehicle, I unbuckled my seatbelt.

"You guys stay here while I go speak to the police. Lock the doors once I leave and don't get out of the car. If something happens, blow the car horn." I said and opened the door. "And one more thing. V, there's a baseball bat under your seat. Don't hesitate to swing it on someone who isn't me or Jimin." I said and got out and closed the door.

Kim Taehyung's POV
"I can't believe she did it." I said. Jimin turned around to look at me and smiled slightly. "I know." Jimin said. After that was uncomfortable silence.

Me and Jimin didn't really talked much after what happened to me and Areum. So it's kinda awkward.

"So you like her huh?" I said.

Park Areum's POV
I made my way towards the police who were talking to the men who were chasing us. "You. You also violated traffic rules." The police pointed at me.

I explained to the police what happened and agreed that I'll pay the fine for the violation. The police were convinced to put the men behind bars since there were firearms inside the car. I glanced at the 4 guys and memorized their faces.

I'll have a talk with these guys later at the police station. I thought. After everything was settled. Some of the police told me to tag along to the police station to make a statement.

I made my way towards the car and hopped in.

"So how did it go? Are we in trouble?" Jimin asked. "No we're not in trouble. We'll just have to tag along with them to the police station to file a statement then that's that. It looks like your death threats will come to an end now." I said and started the engine.
