Park Areum's POV
I was in the library cooling down while reading a book. Taehyung literally went over the edge. Like how can he say that?! At first he's like "I'll only love you. Just you." and then he'll be like "We're over just move on!" I swear he cares only for himself. He's sweet at first but then he'll break your heart. I don't actually care right now if he's with Minji. Unbelievable it may sound but I'm totally over it. I sighed and closed the book I was reading. "Now what's a pretty girl doing at the library?" Someone said behind me. I turned around and saw Jackson smiling sheepishly. "Hi Areum." He said and took a seat beside me. "Hey, sorry if I wasn't able to congratulate you for passing your exam." I said and smiled sadly. "Nah, it's okay. But you can still make it up to me by making that carbonara you promised." He said wiggling his eyebrows. I laughed a bit and pushed him playfully. "Aish. Okay okay." I said. "Wanna go eat something at the cafe across the street?" He asked. "Sure." I said and stood up. Jackson was done with his exam so it's okay for him to not attend his classes and same thing goes with me since I'll be taking my exam tomorrow and nobody knows about it. We entered the cafe and we were immediately greeted by the aroma of the coffee which was really relaxing. "Do you want something? I can order it for you." Jackson said. I smiled and shook my head. "I'm fine. Go order what you like." I said. He nodded and went to the counter while I picked us a seat. I looked outside the window and just stared at the cars that were passing by. Soon, Jackson came back with a tray containing two slices of cake and two cups of coffee. He placed the first slice of cake and cup of coffee in front of me and placed the other slice of cake and cup of coffee on his side. "Yah.. I told you I was fine. You shouldn't have." I said but couldn't help but smile. Jackson maybe cocky sometimes but he's really a sweet guy. "I wanted to so just eat it." He said while smiling. "So, how are you? Why are you wearing office clothes by the way?" Jackson asked. "Well I'm okay now. Huge thanks to you." I said and gave him a smile. "And this.." I said while motioning my clothes. "I'm wearing this because I was called at my parents' company." I said. I can't tell anyone that I'm leaving. "Oh is that so? Well you look very beautiful in those.. Even though you're always beautiful." He said. I laughed and shook my head. "Aish Jackson Wang. You and your compliments. Don't compliment me too much or else your girlfriend might get jealous when she finds out." I said. He looked at me confused. "Girlfriend? I don't have a girlfriend." Jackson said. Sure we've became friends but we don't talk about this kind of stuff that much so I didn't know that he doesn't have a girlfriend. "Are you sure? Jackson Wang doesn't have a girlfriend?" I said, slightly teasing him. "Well.. There's this girl that I like." He said while looking down at his coffee. "Tell me about her then." I said. He looked hesitant at first but eventually gave in. "Well.. She's different from other girls but it's a good kind of different." He said. "Mhm go on." I said. "She's a bit intimidating at first but once you get to know her she's really sweet." he said while smiling. "You really like her don't you?" I said while smiling. "Yeah.. She's perfect. Even her flaws are perfect. I've never seen any girl like her." He said and smiled like he got shot by cupid. "Have you told her about your feelings for her?" I asked. His smile suddenly disappeared and was replaced by a sad smile. "No. I haven't." he said while playing with his coffee. "How come?" I asked. "It's complicated. I want to tell her I like her but I feel it's not the right time." He said. I took his hand and rubbed the back of his hand with my thumb. "Hey, don't worry I'm sure she'll like you. You're a sweet and caring guy.. Even if you're so cocky and annoying sometimes." I said while laughing a bit, trying to cheer him up. He laughed and shook his head. "I don't think it's possible for her to like me back." he said. "Why not? I asked. He looked at me before answering. "Because I'm not the only one who likes her. She'll probably end up picking the other guy instead of me." He said while faking a smile. "Yah, don't say such things. You'll never know that maybe one day she'll like you back. I just hope you'll be able to confess your feelings for her. If she rejects you then it's okay. Sure it will hurt but that just proves that you'll find someone better who deserves you and your love. Someone who'll return the same amount of love you give. Maybe even more." I said while smiling sincerely. He smiled and held my hand. "Thanks Areum. I'll try."
