Chapter Ten

I shouted their names and tried to get off Justin's arm. I saw their van leaving, and I was here, doing nothing but crying. "Ano ba!? Let me go!" I cried.

"It's okay. Calm down." pinaupo nya ko sa malapit na bench. I was tearing up as my hands were on my neck, trying to gasp what happened. "I did nothing."

"No, no. It's not on you." sabi niya at tinabihan ako. He cupped my chin and stared at my eyes. Naluha na 'ko nang marealize ko yung nangyari.

My friends, the only family I have, are in danger. They're in danger and I was nowhere with Justin, putting on a show for people who I don't even know.

"I can't lose them Jus." sabi ko at humagulgol. He tried to calm me down and hugged me.

"You won't, we'll find them.'' he whispered as I sniffle in his ear. I tried to breathe in and out, calmed myself down until the police came. Kumawala ako kay Justin at tumakbo kung nasaan yung police.

The guards tried to stop me and I just lost it. "Where were you?!" sigaw ko at pinaghahampas sila.

"Ma'am, calm down." sabi nila at at hinablot ako papalayo sa kotse nung mga police. Dumating naman si Justin para kontrolin din ako.

"Andrea, kumalma ka muna." sabi niya at binuhat ako papalayo.

"How the fuck am I gonna calm down? This is my fault, I shouldn't have left them." napahilamos ako sa mukha ko na basang basa sa luha't pawis.

"It's not your fault." sabi niya at inalalayan ako'ng umupo sa may cafeteria. He handed me water while I was still shaking in anger and sadness.

"Please, walang magagawa yang pagpa panic mo." sabi niya at uminom rin ng tubig. Everyone was escorted back to their rooms except for us because we were the only ones close to what happened.

Pinapunta ako ng principal sa office niya para makausap habang si Justin naghihintay sa labas. He introduced himself as the chief, nothing more.

Anong pangalan mo? At kaano ano mo yung nakidnap?

"Andrea Montenegro po. Kasama ko po silang nakatira sa apartment. Halos kapatid na po ang turingan namin." sagot ko.

Where were you before you went near the gate?

"Nasa classroom po ako pero napasin ko na wala sila doon kaya hinanap ko sila. They always hung out by the gate when they don't feel like going to school. " Hayyy, kung hindi siguro nag surprise si Justin baka nasamahan ko sila. I know I wouldn't be able to do something to fight them. But is sucked to just watch them. "Nakita ko sila sa may bench malapit sa gate. I was about to go to them but a van came, people went out, armed."

May alam ka bang kaaway? Or kahit na sinong may motibo para gawin yun?
