Chapter Sixty Seven

"Here." Justin offered me glass of water. I've been staring at the wall of our room for at least 2 hours. "You should rest."

"I don't want to." I said and drank my water. Police are already here and investigating. I can't process how everything spiraled with just a span of days. "How's Mason?"

"Still asleep." walang gana kong sagot. He was asleep when we ran to the room but... Margaux wasn't there.

"Kahit umupo ka lang, kanina ka pa nakatayo eh."

"I can't let myself have comfort." I teared up. "How could I let this happen? Margaux is probably out there crying." I leaned over the rails. "Why doesn't it stop?"

"It'll be fine, okay? We'll find her." sabi niya at hinimas ang likod ko. "Ms. Montenegro?" One of the police asked.

"We couldn't find any sign of breaking in. Walang basag na bintana, walang sirang pinto, no guard has been harmed." nonsense.

"May kilala po ba kayong pwedeng gumawa nito?" tanong nya.

Louie did this and I'm sure of it.

"Si Louie! I'm sure he did this!" napasigaw ako. Justin stared at me and gave me a 'calm down look', "How about I talk to them?"

"What?" nalilito kong tanong habang dahan dahan niya akong pinapaupo malayo sakanila. I admit that my head was circling but it did feel nice to sit down. Pinagmasdan ko silang nag uusap sa malayo.

Minutes after, I saw Justin walking towards me after the guy he was just talking to walked out the door. I quickly stood up, "He's leaving?"

"We had a decent conversation and they're taking care of it." napataas ang kilay ko sa sagot niya. "Okay, so what did you talk about?"

"Can you just breathe please?"

"Ano nga yung pinag usapan niyo?" I'm really losing my temper. How could he stay calm?

"Drey, now's not the time to go berserk." paalala niya. I was deeply offended because I know he's talking about what I tried to do to Natalie.

"Berserk? Our child is missing." obviously he's trying to say that I'm not on my right mind.

"Alam ko, okay? Do you think I want to say calm at a time like this? Knowing that your psychotic ex kidnapped my child? No, okay? Gusto kong umalis at hanapin yung putanginang yun pero hindi pwede dahil sabi ng mga pulis na kausap ko, stay put!" he bursted.

"That's what they said, okay? Masaya ka ba sa narinig mo, kasi ako hindi. Stay put while THEY search for MY daughter. Believe me, Drey, I'm fully aware that our child is missing." inis niyang sabi at umalis sa harap ko.

Napahilamos nalang ako ng mukha at napatingin sa baba. He's probably right. Maybe I am not on my right mind. Pagmulat ko ng mga mata ko, may nakita akong pamilyar na mukha.

"Capati?" I asked.

"Andrea?" tingin niyang mabuti at napangiti. He ran upstairs and I gave him a hug. "You're here?"

"I'm Margaux's mom, imbecile." hanggang ngayon, wala pa rin 'to sa sarili. "This is Natalie's house."

"Natalie's house? Really?" he took a look around. Hindi siya napupunta dito noong mga bata pa kami dahil hindi naman siya umaalis ng bahay. "Wait, sorry, so what do you think happened?"
