Chapter Sixty Three

"No."

I firmly said while I finish up packing our things. It's very early in the morning and the kids are still asleep. Dalawang oras lang ata ang tulog ko, at pinilit pa ni Kim na dito matulog sa condo.

Ayaw ko man siyang makasama, wala akong gana makipag away kagabi. I even had to pretend like I'm fine in front of Sierra so she wouldn't suspect anything. Gusto ko man sabihin sakanya lahat ng sakit na nararamdaman ko, mag aalala siya saakin. Like how she always did, Sierra would go out of her way to find a way to help me.

Ayaw ko munang magsabi sakanya o sa kahit sino, hanggat wala pa akong matitirhan.

"Sige na, Drey. Saamin na kayo tumira." pilit pa rin niya.

"I don't even know why you're still here. Puntahan mo na yung malandi mong girlfriend na walang ibang ginawa kung hindi pahirapan ang buhay ko." I growled and threw the bag on the floor.

"She's not... we're not da.. Please don't call her that. We're trying to--"

"She slept with Louie. How does that make you feel, Kim?" I looked straight in his eyes. I could see that he's hurt but doesn't want to show it.

"Drey, their house is big enough for everyone. Baka nga hindi niyo pa makita ang isa't isa eh."

"Oh you mean the house me and my parents used to visit when they were still alive? Yes, I'm aware of how big the house is. Hindi ko nga maintindihan bakit hindi nila na-share saakin eh." I sarcastically replied while I took a stop at my bedroom to get the remaining clothes I have. He looked down and shook his head,

"Hindi mo pa naiintindihan ngayon, Drey. We don't want to overwhelm you, but we will eventually explain everything. Ang importante ngayon, ligtas ka pati yung mga anak mo." I stopped in front of him.

"You helped her, didn't you?" I paused to see his reaction. Hindi niya ako matignan ng diretso. That explains why they hung out all the time. Naluha nanaman ako, "Bakit ako? How could you do that to me? You had the audacity to come at my kids' birthday party. Justin was so glad he fixed his friendship with you..."

"You're right, I did."  His response made my eyebrows furrow.

"It was mostly my fault... I was her partner in crime but I tried to stop her. Pinabayaan ko lang siyang gawin yung plano niya mag isa kasi akala ko, kapag hindi ko siya tinulungan... Akala ko titigil siya. But because of what I did, she found Louie and started this demented plan. I shouldn't have left her... I'm sorry, Drey."

Napaupo ako at napayakap sa tuhod. I was so sad but I wasn't tearing up anymore. It's just acceptance now. So much more happened than what I knew. Yung akala kong coincidence lang, planado lang pala.

Someone wrote my story for me, and it was Louie and Nat.

"Drey, we have been on the move for so long. I know it's a stupid request, but please trust us right now. You can be in danger, not just from Louie. Please sumama ka nalang sa bahay, para sakanila." he pointed the kids' bedroom

I sighed in defeat. I don't know why he keeps telling me I'm in danger, but my gut tells me it's true. Even if we weren't, mas magandang ligtas ang mga anak ko.

"Mom?" I heard Mason's voice with a knock. I opened the door and I saw Kim playing with Margaux as he watches us. "So many bags. Where's tito Louie?"
