Chapter Twenty Two

"Group 6, 40 points." Everyone cheered for us, but I didn't. Hindi ako mapakali sa kakaisip sa nangyari. Troy sat across me, his head still in the clouds.

"Chill."

"I'm sorry."

"I regret it so fucking much. I'm just going through a lot." napaluha siya at niyakap ako. I held his nape and comforted him. Something was going on but I didn't want to rush him into telling me.

"I'm here, okay? Please 'wag mo na uulitin yun." I chuckled as I messed his hair up. His eyes turned red from his tears.

"I'm so sorry." sabi niya at pinunasan yung luha niya. I smiled, trying to calm him down. I know how much Sierra means to him kaya hindi ko na inintindi yung ginawa niya.

We started walking back and I could still hear him sniff. As much as I want to hug him and comfort him, I still kinda cheated on Justin. I'm sure he'll understand. Hindi lang talaga ngayon yung oras na yun.

Kasama ko si Steph at napansin nya kung bakit lutang ako. "I'm fine Steph."

"Sure? Magto toast tayo ng marshmallow tas ganyan ka? Baka sunog na marshmallow mo nyan."

I laughed, "I am fine Steph, medyo wala lang sa mood."

Nakita ko'ng nakatingin si Troy saakin habang nagsusunog ng marshmallow. Dapat talaga hindi na ako sumama dito eh. Everything fell apart!

It's 4:30 in the morning at 5:00 ang dapat na gising samin. Nag ready na 'ko at nakitang nagising na rin si Steph. Tinabihan niya ako para magkape.

"Ano'ng ganap sainyo ni kuya Blue?" tinanong ko para hindi naman puro insekto yung naririnig ko.

"Wala, friends lang kami. Alam mo naman yun." she sneered like there was something wrong with what I asked. Totoo naman na parang may something sila nung taga ABM na yun.

"Kaya pala nagseselos si Kim." maikli ko'ng sagot.

"Nagseselos? Eh siya nga kasama si Natalie." iling nalang niya. Ayun, may panalo na. Si Kim talaga ata ang gusto nito eh.

"Bakit kasi hindi mo hugutin?" biro ko ulit. Napaka complicated ng relasyon nila ng ex niya. Sabi ko nga wag niyang balikan eh. But it looks like she really likes him.

Natapos na yung camping after lunch. Troy walked beside me, palabas. He offered to take me home as an apology for what he did.

He opened the car for me, still awkward about it. Papasok na ako nang marinig ko yung boses ni Justin na tinawag ako. I looked back and Troy was already on the floor. Justin was on top of him, throwing punches.

JUSTIN

Hindi na ako nakahabol kay Andrea dahil nagpasama si Verson, my little brother, para tapusin yung project niya. I didn't even know why I was the one he picked. I pay someone to do my projects.

"Ikaw may gawa niyan?" tanong saakin ni Verson pagkabalik niya galing sa baba. He looked surprised at what he saw.

"Maayos naman." maikli ko'ng sagot. Gagraduate palang siya ng elementary kaya tinutulungan ko na.

"I know. I expected way worse from you." he chuckled as he did finishing touches. I glared at him as a response. I guess I don't make the biggest mess then. Baka nga tamad lang talaga ako, gaya ng sabi ni Drey.
