ANDREA
"Good morning beautiful." bati ni Justin pagkamulat ko. I saw him holding a tray as I toss around the bed to stretch.
"Para saan 'to?" tanong ko habang tinitignan yung mga niluto niya. Nag toast siya ng tinapay at nagluto ng itlog, not burnt just a little bit cooked than normal.
"Just in case gusto mong bawiin yung sinabi mo kagabi, baka masuyo pa kita ulit with my cooking." tinaas baba niya yung kilay niya habang nakangiti. I smiled back,
"Let's see." I took the fork and cut a little bit of the egg to put on the toast. It was a little salty but it tasted great with the bread.
"I know what you're about to say." bigla niyang sabi. Kumunot ang noo ko, "What?"
"It's salty. I just wanted to add more salt para hindi matabang pag sinama sa tinapay." natawa nalang ako dahil cinareer niya yung pag eexplain. I held his face,
"It's great. Thank you for my wonderful breakfast." I said, with no sarcasm just genuine happiness. I haven't felt like this in a while. As I said, Louie's always great to me, but there was still something lacking when I'm with him.
It feels too good to be be true.
And we all know the saying...
If it's too good to be true, it probably is.
I feel like he's leaving something out, and I can't figure it out because he's always away.
"Did you really mean what you said yesterday?" biglang tanong niya pagkatapos niya akong titigan kumain. I took a huge gulp and swallowed everything before I clear it to him.
"Yes. It sounds insane, but yeah, I think I still love you." I snorted.
"I don't know. I've been thinking, what happens if Louie goes home and we all live our lives, or you get a girlfriend and visit the kids every weekend just like every divorced parent in the world, and I just couldn't be okay with it. Gusto ko na nandito ka palagi, gusto kong pakinggan lahat ng kwento mo kahit tungkol kay Alora pa yun. Gusto ko rin na ikaw ang unang nakakaalam ng mga pinagdadaanan ko, kahit sobrang liit na bagay, gusto ko na ikaw ang unang nakakaalam." I paused to recollect the remaining thoughts I have without even noticing what I'm saying.
"This has been going on for a while and I thought it was just normal since you do visit us a lot, tapos maganda pa yung relationship natin as parents. But when you lived here, it was a short time but I couldn't imagine living without being with you. Ang korni ko, tangina." natawa ako at unti unting narealize yung mga pinagsasasabi ko. I took a look at him, and he was frozen as well.
"Wow." he smiled.
"Bakit?" I awkwardly laughed like I'm not embarrassed for confessing in the most cheesy way possible.
"You actually do love me." sabi niya na parang hindi makapaniwala.
"Tama na 'tong drama na 'to. Ano tayo, highschool? We have kids now, and you, sir, have a class to attend to." sabi ko at tinapik ang balikat niya para patayuin siya. I went to the kitchen to cook sinangag, it's like a little trick that I do. They only eat rice but when they eat sinangag, they don't realize that there are eggs because they think it's still rice.
"Hey." yakap ni Justin sa likod ko na kakalabas lang ng shower, and was only wearing boxers. "Gisingin ko na yung mga bata."
Within a minute, I already heard screams and laughs from the nursery.
