Chapter Fifty Seven

''Calm down.'' bulong ni Justin saakin habang nakahawak sa kamay ko. I was already in the car, ready to pick Louie up from the airport. It felt like our movie was starting to end, a tragedy.

"I love you." bulong niya. I squeezed his hand hard and kissed him on the cheek,

"Be back soon."

I leaned against the post outside the receiving area. I just arrived and I can't stay still. Wala pa man, gusto ko na sumuko. Ano ba'ng plano ko? Just drop a truth bomb? I've thought about this for so long but I don't have a concrete plan.

"Baby." I could hear a whisper over my shoulder. I turned around with the biggest genuine smile, "You're here."

"I am." he said as he touched my face. I shouldn't spoil this moment. I'm gonna wait for him to settle and take a rest before telling him.

"Nasaan sila?" tanong ni Louie pagkapasok niya sa condo. Binuksan niya yung nursery at nahalatang malungkot siya. "Are they with Justin?"

I nodded as he pulls me closer to him. Sinayaw niya ako kahit wala namang tugtog. He spinned me around, "We're alone."

"Pinapunta ko sila kay Justin para makapagpahinga ka. That's what you should do." sabi ko at tinayo yung sarili ko. I pulled his sleeve to the bedroom and told him to change his clothes.

"Ayaw mo ba akong tabihan?" tanong niya habang nakapose pa sa kama. I giggled and shook my head but I did sit beside him, "I need to clean up and get the kids. You should rest so we can have dinner together, we have to talk about something."

"Yeah, okay." he uttered as his eyes started to close. "I do have to tell you something too. It's about our anniversary and I'm sure you'll like it."

I didn't respond and just watched him dozed off. My heart was so heavy. I took the clothes out of his luggages and put them where they were supposed to. I opened the cabinet and Justin's clothes were still here.

Napamura nalang ako habang nilalabas yung mga damit niya. I folded it and took everything to his unit.

"Are you alright?" tanong niya habang inaayos ko yung mga damit niya. Tumingin ako sa labas ng kwarto niya para makita yung kambal. They were happily playing so I lightly closed the door, leaving a gap.

"I'm not ready, Justin. I'm sorry." tumingin ako sa baba. Hindi ko siya matignan sa mata, nakakahiya. It was unfair for everyone and it won't change whether who I pick.

"Don't say sorry, okay lang ako. Take your time, okay? I'm always here, whenever you're ready." he kissed me on the forehead and hugged me.

Napalayo ako sakanya nang narinig kong may kumakatok. Narinig ko rin yung mga batang tumakbo nang marinig nila yung boses ni Louie. Lumabas ako ng kwarto para pagbuksan si Louie.

"How did you get here?" tanong ko sakanya. He raised a key - my spare key, showing the unit number, "Saw it on the countertop. I didn't want to barge in though."

"Tito!" sigaw ni Mason at nakipag high five. Si Margaux naman, nahihiya kapag kasama si Louie kaya nagmano lang siya.

"Namiss ko kayo ah! Don't tell your mom but I brought you a lot of chocolates." lumuhod siya at niyakap silang dalawa. Tumayo siya ulit at inoffer yung kamay niya,

"Justin."

"Louie." Justin shook it.

"I wanted to see your place. Also, I'm very hungry." tawa niya at tuloy tuloy nang pumasok sa loob. Tumingin lang ako kay Justin na halatang napipilitan lang makisama.
