Chapter 23

Friday, September 19th 5:00pm
Lauren didn't go to school, she decided to go to the venue and set up and get the sound checks done so her and the boys wouldn't have to worry about it. She set up the piano she would be playing today, did sound check on the guitar she would be playing, then Calum's. She also did sound check on the drums and the mic. After that she just played around on the instruments and she was happy to know that she hadn't lost her touch on any of them. Before she knew it, it was 5:00 in the afternoon and she went home to get dressed but headed right back to the venue and waited for the boys, Anne and Ally to show up. The show would start at 7:00 today because it was outside and they wanted to be out of there by 11:30pm.

By 6:30pm the line to the venue was never ending and 'The Wanting' was super excited for the concert, this would be the biggest crowd they've ever played to. Camila, Dinah, Normani and Tori had arrived and were thankful that they knew the band personally thanks to Camila. "Chancho text your crush and tell her to come get us." Dinah teased causing Camila's cheeks to turn a deep red "Wait you have a crush on your student?!" Camila held her head low and slowly nodded "We'll talk about this later." Tori continued "Whatever." Camila mutter before pulling her phone out and texting Lauren.

"She's coming." "Dang Camila you can pleasure her from here?" Dinah joked "One that wasn't funny, and two shut up." Camila slapped Dinah's arm "Camila!" Lauren called out and motioned for them to come on before they reached the gate Lauren told the body guard that all the people with Camila were good to come in, before she rushed back to the stage to go over the setlist with the guys again.

"Showtime guys." Lauren stated hugging Calum and Ashton and doing their pre-show rituals. They heard the mc introduce them, they ran on to the stage as they crowd irrupted into cheers.

"So this is the band you were telling me about?" Tori questioned "Yeah they're amazing and Lauren idolizes you."

"So just a little intro to this concert, I've had a hard two weeks and the only way I knew how to express what I was feeling was through music and so every song you hear tonight I wrote three or four days before this concert and you guys will be the first to hear them." The crowd irrupted into cheers once more. "I really hope you guys enjoy it. So without further or due, the first song is called 'Alarm'." Lauren stood behind the piano and played the intro to the song.
