Jasper did not ejoy being told "no," she reacted violently, screaming at Tanzenite, saying that she didn't care about her, about what she is or wants. Tanzenite retaliated saying she didn't know what she was saying. Jasper lunged at her, acting as if she was going to hit her. Tanzenite hardened her heart and caught her fist like it was nothing. Jasper gasped as Tanzenite looked her in the eyes. Jasper's own, widened. She looked just like she did when she brought her there all those years ago, she same way she did when she shattered all of those countless gems, she looked like she was dead inside.

Tanzenite threw Jasper to the side. She landed on her back. Tanzenite walked over to her, radiating something, what it was Jasper couldn't tell. Jasper stood up and readied herself, she knew they were evenly matched so it didn't matter who attacked who, no one would win. Tanzenite looked up for just a second. She made eye contact and showed such malice. Jasper stepped back.
"Wh... why are you looking at me like that?" Her voice was shaking. Tanzenite's shoulders started shaking. Jasper relaxed a bit.
"If you knew... what I'd seen... what I'd done... just for the brief, passing thought that I might see you again, you wouldn't say that I don't care..." she stepped forward.
"If you knew how badly I wanted to find you in those final battles for Earth, you wouldn't say I don't know you." Jasper was backed up against a wall. Tanzenite stomped her foot and stuck her finger in her face.
"If you had ANY, second of a thought of ANYTHING other than your own suffering! You wouldn't say those things!" Tanzenite looked like she was about to cry. Jasper looked concerned, and worried, and perhaps, slightly scared. Tanzenite dropped her arm and grabbed her hands.
"These hands, the fact that you exist, everything you are, the reason you're here now... I was made for it... I was made for you. And I know that you suffer, truly, I do, just don't doubt me... I'm sorry... fusing wouldn't be a good idea..." she looked up with kinder eyes now. "your last one left you damaged... you know that right?" An understanding nod was Jasper's response. Tanzenite stared at Jasper's large hands and smiled.
"What's with that smiled?" She said with a head tilt. Tanzenite traced the edges of her palm.
"Can you feel that?" Jasper's cheek turned a deep orange. She made a broken smile.
"Aw, come on Tanzy..." she chuckled. Tanzenite continued.
"Well..." she lightly skimmed over her skin up her arm. "How about... this?" Jasper gave another chuckle and hugged her.
"You're an idiot, you know that?" Tanzenite blushed and did her best to hug her back.
"Yeah... I know."
