She woke up with tears in her eyes. She lightly dabbed them away and sat up, only to be disturbed by the insane screaming of all of the Gem creatures they had caught. She balled her hands into fists and screamed back, Shut up! There was instant silence. She heard a loud huffing and Jasper appeared from around a corner. She was definitely out of breath from something. Tanzenite hurried over to her.
"Jasper? What happened, what's wrong?" Jasper leaned on her, she looked like she'd had another episode. Tanzenite blamed herself she fell asleep and let Jasper run wild. She had no guidance, she was alone.
"I'm sorry. What can I do?" Jasper looked from side to side, she didn't know, she had no idea what was even happening. She looked at all of the caged gems and put a hand on her head. A fuzzy voice started to shout until finally she heard.
"My Jasper! What's wrong!?" She spun and looked at Tanzenite, fear gripped her and it was obvious.
"Jasper, what happened?"
Not thinking Jasper stammered.
"Uh... uuuh" She looked around her eyes focused on Tanzenite's terrified face.
"It's those Crystal gems! They're closing in! Check the perimeter!" She ripped away from Tanzenite and ran towards the cages in the back of the Kindergarten. Tanzenite looked around. She couldn't sense or smell anyone but the monster's and them. She started to walk forward when Jasper turned around with furious eyes.
"DO IT!" Tanzenite froze then turned about face and jumped off. She was so loud. It scared her. She went to the furthest parts of the perimeter to check them first. When she landed her vision blurred and she could feel tears falling down her face. She scoffed.
"Come on, you're better than this, so she shouted at you, it not like she hasn't done it before." She rubbed her eyes till they ran dry.
"Geeze, though, I'll just stay put here for a short while, then go back." She sat down on the ground and waited until she felt it was enough time to go back. While she waited, her mind wandered back to her dream, she wondered who was that fusion, what was her name. She smiled, happy she remembered something so happy. The way they looked together was gorgeous. She took in a deep breath and laid back. The wind felt nice on her body. The breeze was gentle and warm, it made her feel like she was home. She hoped one day, her and Jasper can be left alone and they can be together in piece.
"Tanzenite!"
Her eyes shot open. Something felt wrong on the wind suddenly. She sat up and looked around. Her eyes were focused and searching for anything abnormal. Her eyes glossed over the Kindergarten until she saw a ploom of sand fly into the air. She gasped and stood up and started running back towards the Kindergarten. A whole skew of thoughts rose to her attention.
"Was she hurt? Maybe one of the monster's got out and they're fighting, what if the Crystal Gems are there!? Oh no I abandoned her! Oh Jasper, please be okay! WAIT FOR ME"
The only thing that awaited her was disaster. She saw another Gem Matching Jasper's reared and roaring, sticking out of her chest was a sharp metal stick from.one of the cages. In front of her was a small green gem, she remembered was named Peridot, as well as Steven and Amethyst. The monster with Jasper's Gem exploded, leaving only the gem behind. She clutched her chest as the Gem just laid on the ground.
"Please no." She thought taking a step forward. Amethyst walked forward and sighed.
"Come 'ere sis." Amethyst bubbled the Gem and sent it back to where they sent all of the other Gems they bubbled. Tanzenite felt her body run cold she ran forward.
"No!" Her voice was desperate she reached out just as she sent the bubble away. The three of them turned to her. Amethyst was almost scowling. Peridot looked terrified and Steven looked just as surprised to see her as she was surprised to see them. Once the bubble was gone she looked at the three gems in front of her and fell to her knees.
"I surrender, please, don't hurt me, I won't fight you." Amethyst turned and walked back to where Tanzenite was and stood at her height, since she was sitting. The two looked at each other. Tanzenite felt awful for the way she'd left before. She couldn't imagine how mad they all were at her. Amethyst's lip quivered and she balled up her fist.
"You bet you're sorry butt you're not gonna fight us." Tanzenite looked up at her, she gave a scared expression and Amethyst withdrew her fist.
"Just come back to the temple, you can talk to Garnet and Pearl then.
"Amethyst, are you sure that's a good idea?" Peridot chimed in. Amethyst shrugged.
"T's helped us in the oast, let's hope Garnet and Pearl remember that too." Her words were a threat and Tanzenite knew it. Amethyst held out her hand to Tanzenite, who took it like they were hand cuffs, it didn't help that Amethyst had transformed her hands into handcuffs anyways. Steven and Peridot followed behind her closely looking nervously between them.Tanzenite took one last look back to where they'd been hiding all this time, she was just starting to get through to Jasper, she was just starting to come back. Tanzenite cursed herself. The image of their fusion was only a memory, and it was all she had left now.
