The question startled Jasper.
"What do you mean?"
Tanzenite shook her head slowly.
"I... it's nothing, really, Jasper. Don't worry." Tanzenite released herself from her arms.
"That's not how this goes." Jasper said, sounding irritated. Tanzenite turned around and saw she was hurt by her words.
"Tell me what's wrong!" She lunged forward a grabbed Tanzenite hand hard.
"Please, Lapis won't take me back, you're all I have, Tanzy!" At Lapis' name Tanzenite ripped her hand away from Jasper.
"You went back to her!?" Jasper's eyes widened and she shut her mouth. It was Tanzenite's turn to be upset now.
"I-I..."
"So just because I wouldn't fuse with you, you go crawling back to that... that monster!?" Tanzenite felt her eyes well. Her vision blurred as tears started to roll down her face. Jasper gasped and stood up.
"N-No! That's not why I went back! I went back because we could use her!" Jasper was stammering.
"NO! Now you're lying to me!" Jasper grabbed her hand again and pulled her closer.
"Please Tanzy, you're all I ha-"
"WHAT AM I TO YOU!?" The ground beneath her shook ad bowed. Tanzenite felt an anger she hadn't felt for a long time.
"Had it even occurred to you that I can't fuse!? because I was made broken!? I can't remember anything from my passed, everytime my form is destroyed I loose a lot of information from before! I want to be you're Tanzenite, I want to be Your Tanzy! But you need to tell me the truth!" Tanzenite looked around and saw she'd damaged several of the empty cells, the ground was cracked where she was standing. She looked at Jasper, who had her bangs covering her face.
"You're..." Tanzenite waited patiently for her answer.
"Tanzenite..." She stood up straight and demanding, like she would when she commanded her armies. Tanzenite felt a glow build in her, seeing her look so powerful made her feel... good.
"You were made for me, in my image, you waited for me here... all this time." She tightened her fist.
"You can fuse, we did it before, it was an accident, but it happened." Tanzenite gasped, then started shaking her head.
"I have no memory..."
"I... that's my fault, at the time, I didn't want you to remember, I didn't want you to know that I used a cruch like that-"
"Did we use it to fight?!" Tanzenite stated surprised. Jasper shook her head quickly.
"No! It.. it really was just an accident.... we were just... talking, back on Homeworld and... it just... happened." Jasper looked away in shame. Tanzenite felt another tear fall. Why didn't she remember?
"And.... why.... would that make you... feel this way?" Tanzenite gently pulled away from Jasper and sat down.
"What did you do to me, to make me forget?" Jasper sighed and sat across from her.
"I suppose you want the whole story?" Tanzenite nodded.
Jasper nodded, then smiled sweetly.
"It's actually one of my favorite memories of you...." Tanzenite nodded, now intrigued.

"Well... it all started after we had.... basically lost the war for Earth...."
